You can found a new version of i-Find onWork in my site.
New features :
- i-Find put the window of fast results in the same Zorder has the launcher.
- i-Find remember the main window position ! ( for j0sefK ).
- i-Find could not be launch 2 times.

Thanks a lot DeeTOX... just a little issue: if I put a "Number of results in Fast View" above 25 (which apparently would make the results windows taller than my screen) then the app seems to crash (i.e. I get no result and if I press the i-Find button nothing happens) and I have to restart it... just to get the same error again and again! If I put a number =< 25, then everything seems to be OK (the results window fits in my screen, then).
And just out of curiosity: I have seen that this new version puts the search box on top of everything (thus, fixing my problem with my sidebar... big thank you!!!!). However, you say that now "i-Find remember the main window position"... How do I get that?

First, thank you to all of those are using i-Find...
For the >25 I will fix it in the next onWork...
For the mainwindow remember position, when you change the size or the position of the main window of i-Find, i-Find automaticly modify the ini and when you restart it, the main window is with the last size and position you used !

i-Find is the first spotlight clone that is working for me without problems. Thank you for this app. As I am german, I translated the file strings.txt for myself. Perhaps you could include this language in future releases of the app.
Anyway, there are some issues that could be fixed:
- in the program, there's always to read "spotlight", but as this app is not spotlight, perhaps you could change it to "i-Find". It's still Windows...
- the full view has it's own "skin" with those apple buttons on the left. Could you make a version where the user can decide whether to use this or not? I assume the redraw speed of the window would be faster then.
- Also, in full view, there are some strings unaffected by translation. For example, when I'm clicking on the "i" symbol next to e-mail-results, it shows me some details about it. But as place I can read "Boîte mail". The next line (the author) shows "de" (in english it had to be "by", in german "von"). Perhaps it would be possible to make these strings be as customizable as the others in your app.
- In this detail view, there is an alignment problems. The name of the fourth row with the date of creation overlaps it's value. Please check that.
But besides of these issues, it's a great app and fun to work with.

EDIT: Sorry, I just saw that there's a german version included in your onWork-release (although there are some mistakes in it). And another question, what exactly is the difference between locations "Start", "Computer", "iFind HD" and "Macintosh HD"?

-First, the "Spotlight" name will be changed to i-Find... You are right : It is not spotlight ! ;-)
-I THINK i will put an option to choose or not if you use the skin or not !
-For the strings, it is ok... I will change it !

[edit] the difference are : Computer : i-Find search on all your computer only ( files ), Start : find all : ( mails and files ), FestPlate search on your C drive and i-Find search on i-Find drive !
Ok, thank you. So the last two are only useful when iFind is installed on another drive?

Is there an English version of you i-Eplore?
For the moment, there are no english version of i-Xplore... Sorry... But I think in the next mounths i will put an english release of all my apps.

Hi again,
while using i-Find and creating a new skin for it, I recognized some bugs that should be fixed.
The first bug can be reproduced the following way:
1. Enter a search term in the small view and press enter. Then open the full view.
2. Don't close the full view, but open again the small view. You'll see that there's much
strange activity - the mouse cursor will flicker. Then clear the search field of the small
view and click two times more on the i-Find symbol. You'll get 2 error dialogs:
'' n'est pas une valeur entière correcte.
and
Impossible de changer Visible dans OnShow ou OnHide.
After these messages appeared, i-Find still works, but the small view does not hide/unhide
correctly, so quit and restart is necessary.
The second bug is an access violation and occurs when someone enters a wrong skin name in the
corresponding option tab (the place where normally SpotLight and i-Find can be selected). If
someone begins to edit it, the app will immediatly crash because i-Find tries to load a skin
named after the text of this combobox. You have to edit the nbre.ini manually to re-select
a valid skin.
Perhaps you should consider to fix these bugs, although you're working on another app, because
they can be confusing to new users.
Some minor things: The PNG used for unknown files is named "unknow.png" - the "n" is missing...
And in full view, the input field overlaps the "x" for clearing the input field. But this is
nearly invisible.
The new skin I mentioned is based on the MilkVista visual style and I made it in order to match
MilkVista's black/white colors. It's nearly finished and I'll release it soon here on aqua-soft.
Unfortunately, there are still some issues I can not fix, mainly the colors of fonts and the fonts
themselves. Both seem to be hard-coded. If you'd make them changeable via an ini-File, that would
be great and allow to create matching skins for nearly every Windows visual style.

looks like i cant install any of your apps on my pc.it alwas says after i clicked on the exe data:

....what can i do?Is there a special programm to install that?

When I download his apps all I get is a Setup for Winplosion, anyone else getting this??
All his apps that say (Setup-"Name of App") become a Winplosion setup why?
Have you tried restarting? Installing any other .msi's?
I seem to recall having a problem like this with another app before. I don't remember what I did to fix it

@Austin123 : Wow... Try to desactivate winplosion on your computer ! And... I repeat : in the next version of my website, i will put rar files because installshield cause some troubles !

... i can't install iFind cause i can't download GoogleDesktopSetup.exe , i don;t know why, maybe it's temp prob on google server but desktop.google.com do not work right now...
