i-Find, a full spotlight clone

Hi,

Sorry for my bad english : I am french !

i-Find is a clone of spotlight... This application is fully functionnal in the following functions :

-Fast search

-Filters

-Choosing interface and langage

-Choosing file type for categories

-Choosing number of results

-All "Group by" functions

-All "Sort by" functions

-All "When" functions

-All "Where" functions

N.B : There is an english version : install i-Find and right click on the i-Find bar. Choose "Properties" and in the next window, choose "Langue et interface", in the first list, choose "anglais.txt".

For the taskbar, it is fixed... You can download this Rar ( containing only the file "i-find.exe").

can someone do a virus scan for this guy's i-Explore Finder clone?

I installed it, uninstalled it and now folders won't open giving me the "program not found" box and none of the standard tricks won't do. i can't even edit the registry cause now i get a weird error how "admin has disabled registry editing" and the fun part is that I AM the admin. :slant:

This is the last time i try a community app...

wow that sucks unbe, it looked like a pos from the screenshots so I didnt install it...besides, if I'm gonna use GDS at all, I think that even the default interface is better than this app.

I did a virus scan on both i-Find & i-Xplore and there were no viruses found.

Used AVG Free fully updated.

I really do hope deetox10 comes back and reassures us.. this app looks promising.

Anybody who's tried it care to share their experience?

i scanned them both with macafee and nothing came up. I installed i-find but im not going to the finder clone if it will screw my computer up

It changes the default for opening folders.

Go to http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_folder_open.htm

and try that vbscript. It sort of worked for me..

It was "okay" when I tried it. Wasn't the smooth, great spotlight clone I was hoping, but it does try to do everything, inlcuding the window. That's saying something. Search results were all over the place. I searched for Audioslave (which is on my hard drive). No dice.

So I uninstalled and called it a day. No problems thus far. Didn't mess up my system like it did Unbeliever's (sorry about that, man)

installed added his new exe to fix the taskbar problem all ok did a scan everything good .Uninstalled Im sorry to say no problems a little work and it might be a nice clone.

THERE ARE NO VIRUS IN MY APPLICATIONS !!! Hey guys : I devellope some 12000 lines in i-Xplore ( it is not a final version ) and near than 3000 for i-Find !!! I have Kaspersky Antivirus and he did not found anything of that ! It is and insult ! lol ! If it contain some virus : Do you think I am enough stupid to put on my website : a photo of me, my lover and my email ??? lol

to "Unbeliever" : Yes, I am sorry, i forgot this in the unninstallation : You must to reinstall i-Xplore, go in properties ( "afficher les options de présentation" and choose "utiliser/Ne pas utiliser osXplorer comme explorateur par défaut" ( use/do not use ixplore like default explorer )... Try anytime to open a folder and say to me... Sorry for this bug.

I repeat : There are no virus in my applications ! If you find any problems, you can post it on my forum... but i-Xplore is not finished...

i-Find is ok and work perfectly with Google Desktop Search...

I never said there was a virus. I just said it has caused some big problems with my comp and i asked for someone to check for me because i don't have an anti-virus app.

I did what you said and it fixed it but you can't blame me for trying to figure our what was wrong.

Okay okay... I am so sorry for this bug and I am very happy that some people give me bugs and wrong things in my applications ( you can see at aqua-fr : lot of peope give me bugs reports )... I hope you will not take a judgement about my applications ( and me :confused: ) for this problem...

But in France we love the "l'humour noir"... I am working on the basis sytem for the moment but I am preparing a MacOs X Desktop Interface...
