PantherXP is dying! Please Help!
I could help with the graphic designing. I am having some annoying problems with photoshop right now, So I won't be able to help untill I get it working or I decide to use that Macromedia alternitive... Fireworks or something...

timmy, the beta site looks great. however, when i submit my info i get a page not found error.
wuzzie I have 3 gfx designers right now, but one more will not hurt. tell you what we need.
1-2 boot screens
1-2 logging off screens
1-2 shut down screens
these should be done with a OsX style in mind.

There are 4 programmers. 3 are active.
I am working on the Dock
I have someone working on the Virtual Mounting
I have someone working on the User Management System and Fast Switching
I have someone working on the FinderBar
We could still use programmers. If we could get 2 programmers working on each aspect the project could speed up a little.
We also have, I think, 5 gfx designer working on skins, themes, icons, boot/logon/logoff screens, user icons, wallpappers and such.
We have several great web disgners working on a great web site with support and bug tracking.
We have 2 technical writters waiting to write manuals and language packs.
Who is doing the Finder to replace explorer?
Because, the Finder is a very important element in an OS X shell.
I have a guy names Tawhid from Canada working on the Finder. He has been a friend and co-worker of mine for 7 years. He is a really good programmer. I think you guys will like what he is comming up with.
For god sake. I don't have a damn clue as to what you guys are doing. DJ, we need to be more in contact! I'm pleased with the site I already made, DJ. You need to tell me before you go ahead and tell someone else to make another site. I have got my life together with school and what not and am ready to begin work. Now, I would like to be informed about everything, please! And I haven't even communicated with these other people on the project right now. They need to be talking to me as well now that I am working on the project. DJ is a fine programmer, but he is still only the co-owner of PantherXP. Please start referring to me with questions and what not about PantherXP, as soon as im clued in as to what's going on from DJ. Please don't forget about me you guys.

This is a small list of people either working on or wating to work on the project. We have some great gfx going on, a pretty good dock with poofs and such. The Finder is comming along good also. The site that I want designed is for support/feedback/bug tracking for betas.
Some of the advanced features we are working on are
-Virtual Mounting
-Configuration Wizards
-3rd party support for docks/finder/desktops
-Individual user profiles, settings and such
-Unix Terminal Emulator
-The Genie Effect(Being the biggest chalange of all)
Let me talk a little about the Genie effect. This is how we are approaching this.
When an application is minimized PXP takes a snapshot of the application. And using GDI we are able to minipulate the snapshot. tapering the snapshot from the buttom up while shrinking down at the same time. This is the best way we have come up with to complete this task. If someone else has an idea on how to do it, please post it!.

ok here's my little update. ok so in the link above is the basically completed version of the support site. you asked, why you get a 404 once you hit submit? that is because it sends the form info to a text file, then it redirects the user to our 'new homepage'. so that is supposed to happen. i can also have it redir to a thank you html page or whatever. but i want to know... what needs to changed/added/taken off of the form? and if we can get a non-ad-attacked site that supports php, that would be great cause my form doesnt like all that crap on the page.
also, tricky, can i get that avatar psd?
also, what else can i do gfx wise? since im almost done with the support page.
i believe thats it for now.

as for the support site. Maybe use combo box's for the ram and harddrive and please include an option for processor type. AMD, Intel ans such. thanks for the help everyone.

Well, I'm sure by the time I get this genie effect thing going you guys wont need it anymore. Anyway, if I do beat you to the punch, anyone have an API I should use for the resizing? I have a few I've tried. DJ, why are you never on MSN?
Dr. Fire, I work from 4pm to 2:20am. so my time is pretty well taken up during the week. I work 4 days per week

Well due to some personal reasons I will no longer be working on the project. I will forward all email contacts and project info to DrFire. DrFire I am sure will pick up where I left off. I'm sorry to disapoint everyone but like I said, this is for personal reasons. I will continue to check the progress of the project and wish you all good luck.

God damn it. I'm on spring break from school right now. I'll keep things together. I have some ideas for PantherXP, but haven't said anything because it appeared no one listened to me anymore. I'd like to see the code all the developers have made. Send them to me in e-mail. I'll get things in order and start programming myself day and night.
