I solve the problem, anibalin. thanks for the question.
New Menu For Object Dock! ;) !
Does someone had succes with bigger icons in the menu?
I've tried but there are too many bugs on the background.
Please help!
LIO
yeah, lio there i s a real easy way to do it but forget this prog. While it is good and creates a adequete menu, it does not truly emulate a real osx menu and it takes up a deal of CPU Usage . I recommend waiting for Maximus Gratus's theme that will make almost perfect menu's instead of this slow and fugly menu.
How do you make a link to My Computer? I know how to make a link to a folder e.g. My Documents = "I","","explorer.exe", C:\Documents and Settings\Daniel\My Documents",""
but cant figure out how to do one to "My Computer". Tried evereything, what am i doing wrong? Thanx.
make a shortcut to 'My computer' by right clicking the desktop icon, then drag the new shortcut onto the dock ![]()
You misunderstood my question...I mean how to add it to the Menu , not the dock. I just dont know the proper arguments to type into the KKMenu.ini file so it will open My Computer when clicked. Thanx.
Could someone make a zip with the improved aqua skin. When I try to edit it myself a white box appears around the menu
Thanx :rule:
Hello gents,
please do not kill me immediatelly, I have not realized that there is any discussion upon my KkMenu. I was trying to support it at the WinCustomize comments.
I have quickly reviewed your previous discussions. I think that most of you were so bright that you learned how to use it even without my help.
I am not sure you are using the latest release (1.20). It removes a couple of bugs you were chatting about (including those of the transparent lines in the skin, working directorye etc.). It did not (as it could not) remove such a problems like that the menu opens at the place of cursor (not at the place of icon) - I simply cannot detect the icon position in the foreign program.
I have a couple of ideas of how to make it much more usable (including submenus, free-form skinning, etc). But, I learned from the official Stardock newsgroups, the Object Dock will support the native menus in its next release. Consequently (and you might read in the kkmenu readme.txt that I expected it), I have no reason to continue the KkMenu development.
The good news is that I am still willing to give the sources to anyone who wants to (actually I already did it a few times). I like the idea of the source-forge project. But I have no idea how to do it, more I have no time to learn it.
Kk.
Thanks for the KKMenu, kakacek! I love it and have no problems with it and I'm using an older version. I just downloaded the new version today, but have yet to unzip it.
Thanks for giving us the news that ObjectDock will support menus in the next release.
nice
is the v1.20 available for download cos i'm not using objecdock but YzDock and it works fine with this dock too...
godd job anyway! ![]()

--- just remember the 2 colons at the very beginning " :: " and don't break the string
...and also to make a shortcut to a specific folder in another PC on the network, i found this to work perfect:
Shorcut Name = "I","image.png","explorer.exe","\Computer Name\Specific Folder"
e.g.
Bob's Files on DellP4 = "I","bobsfolder.png","explorer.exe","\DellP4\Bob's Documents"

Note: I did this with y'z dock, i'm unsure whther it works with object dock but its worth a try for thos who can't get anything working.
That's exactly how it works for me. Nice one. (Y)
i doesn't seem to work for YzDock anymore ![]()
or maybe i made something wrong...
call to any others using this with YzDock does this new menu works for you?
thx anyway judge for the info ![]()
maybe we should open a new topic for this v2 dock since it seems to be much different from the v1 one?
PS: I wanted to be the first one to report this news ![]()
Damn Judge :6 :6 :6 ![]()
I like the version 2, it works fine with Yz Dock. You just have to place the menu.ini the the skin.ini in the arguments line. I did that and it worked fine. Now a new tutorial on how to customize the menu's would be great.

Looks like we`ll be getting more freedom in making skins also (Y)
yeah, but its not nearly as easy to make skins with this new version, a lot of different customising has to take place, i'm gonna spend a while and try to figure it all out.
is the customizing of this v2 dock same as the v1 or not? seems much different at first. I`m gonna try it now ![]()
can`t seem to make the divilish thing to work :6 <_

Yeah, a tutorial would be helpful - I'm looking at the new menu and although I can see that the test config works, I'm still pretty baffled as to what it all means...

Although it's only mere hours after he's released it, it seems, so yeah...I'll be patient, and try to divine something of how this works in the interim. ![]()
Jiri posted this on wincustomize.com when i asked for some help with the new dock:
"Installing of KkMenu 2 is mostly the same as of Kk Menu 1. The most simple way is to unpack the downloaded ZIP to your HDD and to link it to you DOCK (or other) shortcuts.
The command line parameters are slightly different:
KkMenu.exe p1 p2
where
- p1 ... is menu ini file,
- p2 ... is skin ini file.
The ini files must not be qualified with the full path. The ini files must be located at the same directory or at any subdirectories of the KkMenu.exe file.
See please the test - aqua.bat for the command line parameters example.
All menu images must be in the same directory as the menu ini file.
The skin image must be in the same directory as the skin ini file.
That is all for now, if you have any inconveniency then do not hesitate to ask me at the wincustomize comments.
Kk."
Hope it`ll help, i`m still trying to figure it out.
just can`t get it right. Well i guess i`m just plain stupid
skyliner34 we need ur help
I figured most of then new menu out, except the arrow at the bottom changes from left or right at will. Is there a way to decided myself which side of the meny image the arrow is shown?
Other than that, this meny is much better than the last, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
