doesn't work for me either... such a pity, this little flaw makes this excellent plugin useless to me. maybe a future version of avedesk will fix this issue?

About the always on-top problem: the widget wants to stay on top of the taskbar, so that's why it goes on top of everything. I'll see if I can find a fix, otherwise I'll add an option to disable this behaviour temporarily.

@Andreas ... uhm, perhaps having something similar to Samurize where you have a 'Taskbar Client' that allows drawing within or on top of the windows taskbar? This may actually be a request for AD 1.2 ... as I'm assuming the code might need to be changed.

yeah that would be nice ... because i use a modded version of the Siro wallpaper released in the wallpapers forum so that it looks like there's a bar across the top, but my taskbar actually stays on the bottom. I put the desklet on the top, overlapping the "fake" bar. Therefore, when I maximize windows, they go all thew way to the top of the screen ... and the desklet overlaps the close and mazimize buttons for everything. Why not just make it normal so we can select whether we want it to be always-on-top, always-on-bottom, or a normal window like every other widget.
Other than that this is a fantastic widget ... beautiful, sleek, and functional.
That's weird... for me "Normal window" works just fine... I have no idea why it would be different on another machine... but for now I'll just rub it in your faces

For some reason, I am unable to access google.com, so I cannot use the search bar at all for the last few days, weird.

Nope, as I mentioned I go though a router with firewall, but I can access every other site I know, inclusing google.co.uk, it's just google.com I can't access (in a browser too, not just searchbar I should say). That's why I am anxiously waiting for the addition of google site deinition

I read that you needed some design. I figured I would put my 2 cents in:
Listed Itunes style. You could put in a ruler(the blue highlight) to help the user with what they are clicking on.
I thought that maybe in the future when you integrate the search into several elements (i.e. searching on the computer/web/p2p etc.) you could specify with an icon in between the numbers and the title of the page.

When I search, the first 10 results show up on the pop-up list background, but half of the 11th and the rest of the results just shoot down the screen without a background...

Actually what would be really useful is if it could be made compatible with Mozilla's Mycroft plugins. Then there would be an extremely easy and very large existing base of search plugins to use.
