Maybe something wrong but I want to setup one of desklet (Power) label to be on top of icon. I set this params:
Alignment and Rotation:
Hor. Align. -> Center
Ver. Align. ->Bottom
Position and size:
Position -> Top
and label disappears 
setting Ver. Align. = Middle make label visible but its a little higher than I want 
Is it bug if I need to RTFM :6

Confirmed bug.
The driver desklets' "Hide desklet when the drive is not mounted" checkbox doesn't seem to work unless i restart the Avedesk.
Is it because I taskkilled explorer.exe right after I log in?

this problem is gettin kinda weird.
situation is like following:
i install avedesk (doesn't matter if zip or installer) get the initial drive desklet to my drive c: which works perfectly.
then when i add a desklet (doesn't matter which kind) it appears in the top left corner and doesn't respond at all until i edit something through the preferences dialog. then it works until i close and restart avedesk. then same thing as before: have to edit something and it works.
BUT for some kind of reason the INITIAL drive desklet does always work.....
some kind of hint or tip would be great!

Did you save your configuration before you restarted AveDesk?
Well I read the thread and no one seems to have this problem but me. When I start Avedesk, there is a blank icon for it in the system tray, that itself doesn't bother me, but I'm pretty sure one should be there right? ALso everytime explorer crashes, the desklets all disappear, Avedesk is still running when I start explorer again, and the desklets are no where to be found. After I can't seem to kill Avedesk in the taskmanager.

I have a weird problem....
Every time I add a SysStats desklet all I get is the question mark icon. When I try to press "load..." and then load a secific desklet (like the mail checker, or the uptime, or any other one) it loads it but doesnt run anything. I get these characters like: %,0d and the label says "%.0d new emails".
At first I though this was a directory structure problem - but I've put Systats in every possible directory to find out and now also tried with the directory you wrote down in this thead.

*** EDIT: Just installed ObjectDock and checked it there - still nothing happens - the icon doesn't even change.... So I'm thinking its definately not a directory structure problem .... ***

Im not sure if This is a docklet bug or an ave bug, but if you load the Analog clock, then switch to the digital clock, the shadow for the digital clocks font turns into a psuedo minute hand. It seems to ghost the analog clocks hand..
By the way - am I the only one that the icon and the Systray Icon look messed up like this?

I don't know if this is a bug or what???!, when i load a sysstats congif the icon that appears is quite big (128x128), when i resize the icon in the avedesk control panel the icon shrinks to the size i want. Now, if i move the sysstats icon (let's say CPU usage) the icon is mess up... however i can fix that moving the icon with the deafult dialog option... I used to have the same problem on avedesk 1.0, but after i set all my icons it didn't happen any more... now the problem with AveDesk 1.1 i think is getting worst... Everytime i restart the computer, sysstats icon become again 128x128 ... all overlapped and quite big i must say... :rant:
is this a bug... or some configuration problem??

I have such icon too 
and i change it with ResHacker to one was posted sometime ago when Ave 1.0 was released... But now i have no icon at all if Ave starts via autorun folder <_< And i'm sure - this is not because of icon was changed. I post it like bug.

Everything in Avedesk working very fine... i use iTunes Widget (latest update - configured to vanish when iTunes is closed) and iTunes JewelCase for Systats... everytime i close iTunes, after answering YES in the interface script close dialog, my Ave don´t responde for some time (labels don´t show on mouse over, can´t right click tray icon)... sometime later iTunes just pop open again (with the Widget back)... i close it, sometimes, two or three times until it´s closes and keep closed.
Anybode got this behavior too?

iTunes will countdown a few seconds.
Please give the widget the time to detect that iTunes is closing.
Don't close iTunes before the widget has hidden itself.
Best practise is to let the countdown box untouched.
On my machine, iTunes counts down, the widget hides itself after a few seconds,
iTunes closes, the widget unhides itself with CPU usage at 100% for a few seconds
and hides itself again and everything's fine.
Blame it on Apple that they forgot a notification mechanism.
Don't know if "iTunes JewelCase for Systats" can detect iTunes shutdown, perhaps
try it without it.

About waiting... i have tryed, but, after 20 seconds iTunes closed itself automaticaly and... bang, opened again. I will try, as soon as i reach home, without the Jewel Case.
I´ve tried without the JewelCase... really worked... iTunes closes, widget reapears, then closes itself and everything went ok... i guess the bug is, really really, in JewelCase or in some combination of both (JewelCase + iTunes Widget).
OK...I've a desklet 'My Computer' with a label the same. When I restart Avedesk the label reverts to file:///::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}.
I'm saving the config but have to change the label everytime...any tips?
Doh!...the answer is in hints ans tips! Sorry...I have been to the pub though...The Harcourt Arms in Oxford actually...bit quiet...students on hols...great pint of ESB saved the day...a few in later...good banter.

Now, this sounds better but not good enough.
I've been researching the issue with Andreas and this is what we are coming up
with:
1. Development of an iTunes plugin that fires system wide events of:
a. iTunes up and running (done)
b. iTunes about to close (done)
c. iTunes closed (done)
d. iTunes is blocking calls because of a modal dialog box (don't know how to detect yet without resorting to brute force approach)
2. Development of a proxy DLL that:
a. Monitors these system wide events
b. Forwards them to any script or automation controller
(like in VB6: Dim WithEvents MyMonitor As iTunesMonitor)
iTunes Widget won't need 2. because of its native implementation.
Both 1+2 will be open source so that other Apps can benefit, too.
1+2 will be implemented by me and iTunes Widget and SysStats
will hopefully become its first customers.

kk menu doesn't work
when I add this docklet in the control panel, it will announce "no such skin....." and then warnning "access violation at address 04880A96 in module 'kkmenu.dll' read of address 00000008"
Drive desklet problem i have always had the icons stay with mount check and powdermount.. when used with a cdr drive... maybe it has something to do with winxp being able to open the drive without the cd in it becuase of the writeable folder??
Problem on my comp.
Avedesk freezes/becomes non responsive..
im not exactly sure whats causing this problem.. or what program it might be conflicting with yet.. but problem never occured in 1.0
programs running is basicly the same from when i was using 1.0 other then that y'zdock changed to objectdock+
And one more defect
After playing games (oh yyeess :canadian: ) which changes screen resolution i get this situation -> sshot
and after that Ave become unusable... a can't click on any desklets, a can't cose Ave normally (because no tray icon)... i can only kill it via TaskManager...
My drive icons get smaller time to time (even though I save the configuration each time). Let's say I put them as 64x64(and save it)everytime I click on them,they go smaller (like 52x52). what's wrong?
