i went to city centre and it was like 1400 dhs - i forgot the prices for the corresponding hd space - was in a rush, had to catch a movie

660 usd or dhs ??

blah i was excited while writing this but now towards the end i know its usd ur talking abt

but wont kill me to ask

1400 dhs?!?!? i checked in Evo computers, down in media city, and thats the figure i got from them, for the 3rd gen 40 gig iPod. How many gigs did that 1400 iPod have dude?!!

Yea im in dubai right now, everyones already left this hot place, came back from australia myself, heh it was winter down there.

i havent checked around much, but im very keen on getting an ipod, my friend has a brother in the states and he got an ipod for him, and i just fell in love.

i think both plug-ins and jackys had it for abt 1200 - 1400, i think the 60 gig was abt 1800 - 2000 dhs

15 GB ipod is 1300 dhs at virgin

just checked the stores websites but they are extremely crappy and say they dont have ipod and the guy at the store told me to order it online wtf

u saw it for 660 dhs or usd?

if its dhs then i dont mind that for a 3g, they look nice too and come with more ****

when i get the quote, what's should i put in as the declared value? i arbitrarily put in $400 and this is what i got:

I have bad news for me... and good news for Wookie...

I have decided not to get the iPod yet because of suggestions i have heard from people living here that have shipped stuff from abroad. Too many things "dissappear" while going through customs... Even if its sent through courier.

I seriously cant take such chances cause the money to get it is all the money i have left (Had to buy an engagement ring for the fiance -_-) and i would rather have it for sure when my dad goes to the US in december-january and then get it.

I am very sorry to have put you through all of this for nothing, Wookie. I just wanted you to know I am extremely greatful for your offering (Even if i never got to buy it). It shows that there are still good people in the world. Whenever you need dates shipped to the US, let me know ;) (that or sand... i dont think there is much more in the UAE for me to send you :P)
