[help] Buying An Ipod

Hey everyone!

I have decided that instead of getting one extra gig of ram for my dualie i would get a new ipod it is about time. Sure, i wont have a case, a remote and a dock, but that is something i can sacrifice for 100 bucks less and double the playtime so please, lets not turn this into a "the 3rd gen was b3774h!!!1!!!1" thread.

The only problem is that if i buy it here, in colombia, i cant; they start selling them at the end of august and i wont be here anymore. If i buy it in dubai... well, ill tell you this, an dyou tell me if its worth it... the 3rd gen 40 gig one costs 660 usd.... so imagine the new one...

So, i have come to the idea of paying for it in the us and getting it shipped here. Now, apple doesnt send outside the us. I would pay for fedex priority, no problems for that, but i am not even given the option.

Any ideas how i could get that iPod paid by credit card and sent to colombia? im desperate and in need of one... (have you got an idea how long of a plane trip it is from here to dubai? trust me i need all the music i can get :lol: )

you didn't say when exactly you would be leaving colombia, but what about ebay... they have sites in brazil and argentina... maybe you can get a new one from there to ship to you before you leave(or used if you don't care)... i can't speak spanish or portugese, so i don't know what any of those 2 sites are saying exactly but the gist is that they're selling ipods and a few say "buy it now" as opposed going through the hassle of the auction.

or send me the $ and i'll buy it for you, yeah, that's the ticket... :naughty:

I do have a 3G I want to sell this 10gb one and get 30gbs more, I just fell in love with clickwheel, please don't ask me about it :canadian: And I have an oportunity to earn some cash in september sooo....nothing can stop me now

That's what comes of living on this damn' island - everything is more expensive than everywhere else.

Oh, and you may have difficulty getting a 'Pod to Colombia by the 10th I'm afraid, dude - demand is currently outstripping supply for 4G iPods (I should know, mine's been delayed by a week).

Off-topic: What route d'you take back to Dubai? It's not a single flight, right? Where d'you change?

just let me know... and make sure as steve said, that it will be able to get to me in time. you have about 2.5 weeks before you leave, hopefully, it won't be a problem.

i just tried on the U.S. apple site, they say estimated delivery is 1-2 business days
