Contra: Im gonna be nice here, because you've earned it in the past.
At many points in Aqua-Softs history general chat has NOT been allowed in the monthly desktop thread. Not a lie, but truth my friend. I did not address it as an ongoing thing, but as something that has been done. If I was unclear, forgive me, or at least cut me some slack.
As I said, "I would like to see... More album, movie and entertainment related threads". How can what I want be untrue? Please pay closer attention to the post. It was not critical, merely addressing the threads topic opened by the sites admin. A person, btw, who I respect. He's one of the few people that tolerates my insanity and random dissappearances.
You did, however, cross the line by calling my post lies. To comment that something I have said or written is a lie, by definition, classifies me as a liar. Please be careful with what terms you use. Wrong is not lies. And my being wrong is not factual, merely your opinion that I am wrong. You should know better than to refer to any members post as such. You represent the community and have a responsibility to be better than that. Shame on you Contra, you're above this. :6
A few more things: This is not just my brilliant dream. I was lucky to take a small part of it at the beginning. Many people worked very hard shaping this place, keeping it alive. I have been nothing more than a small cog in the wheel.
As for my "causing trouble when what you want already exists", I think you're not taking my comments as they were intended - reflective examinations on the direction this site can go. Less critical and more suggestive. The only trouble I've caused seems to be with you, and that is unwarranted. I care for the site, as you do yourself. The thread addresses several issues that I am happy to comment on, nothing more, nothing less. To come around and attack me for opinions makes me wonder about several comments in this very thread that I have dismissed. Comments about replies being to harsh, people being attacked. I hope you reread these comments and reflect on how your replies to me and closing this thread would appear to the general community.
And I'll finish this post with PST. Photoshop Tennis threads have a place here, in the Digital Studio. I know this. I have brought up the point of PST repeatedly hoping that someone else would GET A CLUE and maybe start up a thread. Perhaps if I want something done, I should do it myself... I guess I have more faith in the optimistic drives of others than I should. Instead of a few people opening up challanges, I get attacked. I know better now. >.

To be quite frank, I would like to see General Discussion blossom into something of our own "entertainment mecca" - people actually discuss things that entertain them, rather than trying to all be comedians 
can someone just define photoshop tennis please... i hope i'm not the only one who doesn't know what this is.
Photoshop Tennis is where two people work on a Photoshop project together, taking turns. The results of each turn are posted in a single thread to be commented and judged on by the general community. It goes like this:
Person #1 (the serve) person posts an image (photograph or new image) they have manipulated in photoshop.
Person #2 takes image and modifies it farther. Posts image.
Person #1 takes image and modifies it farther. Posts image.
This continues, with the two people working back and forth on the .psd file, posting their modifications to the image, until a winner is declared by the general community. Usually this is when you get the majority of the people posting saying things like "Person #2's latest image rocks, Im using it as a desktop" or something like that.
A good photoshop tennis match can last for weeks, and the possibilities are endless. I have literally seen matches start with a picture of a few shrubs and end up as the second coming of a messiah during armaghedon with rock and roll concerts and atomic mushroom clouds in the background. Ive also seen people do pure vector matches, with line, form, color and space being destroyed and remade with every turn. It's fun stuff, especially if youre just learning Photoshop or want to improve your skills. NOTHING is off limits in these matches, so the results are very creative.

We will soon, its only been a week since we've been on 2.0, I'll be getting rid of virtuanews soon, I've been busy today (hanging out with a girl 
shocking! spending my money ack same old crap) so tomorrow I'm going to find a replacement main page (with recent topics yes! and skin it and try to get it up tomorrow night if all goes well) The skin is taking much much longer than expected, I started to do a non table skin but things just were messing in IE (POS BROWSER ARG) so I went to tables (stevies favorite word) and its all working peachy.
I don't want the forums to be spammed to death, but aqua-soft is the only forum I really visit now. I would like to see more of a talkative/productive community rather then a few* people playing dress up with their computers.
Going to say no on the political forums, you kiddies can't handle being wrong :6
