i don't get it... one day, we're told "THIS IS AQUA-SOFT... NO OFF-TOPIC DISCUSSION, ETC...", and the next day it's "SO LET'S TALK MORE ABOUT THAT SORE ON YOUR MOUTH..."

We've got good moderators here, but I think the rules ARE a little out of hand... not at all what Cycopath, Doug, Chris or myself would have done (feel any pressure with that?).

Rules like "Don't chat in the monthly desktop thread!" are kinda silly - the entire reason behind a monthly desktop thread is so people can see what others are doing, and to discuss how to do that yourself. It's one of the BEST benefits to the desktop scene; a unified, updated visual thread to share ideas and different looks.

I would like to see General discussion as just that - general discussion. More album, movie and entertainment related threads. Add on an 'art department' to the forums, maybe kick start some Photoshop Tennis and get this place jumping!

No to the political and religous stuff, we have too many kids here that think their views are always right so that causes flame threads.

I don't mind the off topic stuff, but stupid threads like post your computers name crap stuff like that isn't really needed, but just simple topics. I'ved told a few of the mods to lighten up on the gd stuff, they dont need to go closing everything. From an admin view it looks like you guys are more afraid to post now :S.

Lies.

1. You can chat in the desktop thread, it says so right in the first post.

2. General Discussion allows just about anything. It has been this way for a long time (but you wouldn't know, you only come back every 6 months to talk about the good 'ol days). Things you can't post in GD:

* Politics

* Religion

* Flames/Trolls

Everything else is fine. I'd say that's pretty open. Music, art, etc is allowed, and there are in fact plenty of music threads.

Our messages are not conflicting and our rules are not "out of hand". When you were around last, the rules were all messed up, but things stabilized soon after.
