Almost my notepad, replacement, except for one small thing:
Is it possible to popup a warning dialog if you try to close AveText before a file has been saved? It'll help to prevent losing data accidentally.

grim53- I don't understand this whole goat thing either. All I know is that in the earliest version of AveText (even before the dinosaurs ), the default text when you opened the app was "Pe7er has a goat." How this whole thing sprouted from that, I don't know. Maybe I missed something else.

- Asks for confirmation on close,open,new when changes are made
- Fixed some slight errors
- Magbi9 updated all the skins

AndreasV- I don't know if this was intentional, but in this newest version, when you mouse over one of the close/minimize/maximize buttons, all change to their rollover effect. Do you know what I mean? If you scroll over the exit button, not only does that change, but all of the other buttons change too. Maybe this is a bug? It wasn't present in other versions.

Yeah, that is an intentional update 
Is there any way I could remove that, but keep the other changes? You don't have to rerelease anything, but could I fix it myself in ResHacker? If so, in what part of the code?

Nope, you can't fix it. But if you get me some proof that you are not taller than 1.80 meters, I'll brew a special version for you :naughty:

I've found my new favorite simple text editor.

it's way too perfect to replace the notepad
another small thing...maybe "ctrl+n" can perform as the "new" button in the toolbar.
still has the alpha prob.. doesnt freeze on me anymore.. window shade thing still cuases it to be random size when u reopen..
just letting you know incase you tried to fix those..
it might just be my comp..
any chance that you could add font selection?
so we can use different font other than default set...?

This might just be my computer, but does ave text take a few secs to open on anyone else computer?
I solemnly swear on Macintosh OS X 10.3 Panther that I am under 1.8 meters. There- I swore on a Mac so it has to be true.

open with
choose program
Browse
avetext
always use the selected program to open this kind of file
