@ whine & cheese people - give him a break! i know u`r all edgy to try the wonders of 1.1 (and there are wonders, trust me on that one) but Av can`t really do whatever u want, whenever u want. im with unbeliever too, i talk so ave sometimes, not as much as unbeliever but still. anyway andreas is devoting alot of his time, i know io will donat something if i can, im glad to help out and do anything i can to help , and everyone here that uses any of his apps should donate too (and if you dont use his apps you should :6 ). so anyway andreas is doing a great job and he deserves something in return, so if you dont donate i will have to join unbelievers hunt.

On a more serious note I will without doubt be donating to AveDesk simply because if this was a purchaseable app such as windowblinds or ObjectBar - I would HAVE to buy it - its that good - and I'm just talking about the current AveDesk - let alone 1.1!!

Are you going to release a new version of AveText soon (with some of the mods people suggested)? I would be the first to download it.

I can't wait 'til the new version of AveDesk...but take your time. If you need help with it (any kind of help, I'm kind of amateurish in terms of editing the actual code, though), just PM me. I'd be glad to help (and to beta test it).

P.S: I think all of the developers/programmers deserve a pat on the back and a round of applause for doing what they do...for free. Anyone want to start a new topic applauding them?

it`s not the point in "forcefully" donating.

my thoughts are like this:

If 500 people dloaded AveDesk ( i know there were a LOT more than that) donated 5 bucks (i live in a country with a very bad econimical situation but even i could live with that), how much money would Ave would have by now? We all need to live, for that we need money.

I`m just saying that if WANT something and get it for free, show your gratitude. Don`t expect something without giving anything in return. i don`t want this to turn into a flame war but since Ave is my friend i feel an obligation to say something, since i know that all this whining is getting on his nerves (and you pple know that, but you don`t seem to care).

/sorry mods but i`m just frustrated with some things that are happening over and over again (= bothering of devs), & i also felt a personal obligation to say this

If you're all talking about me, I don't see what the big stink is. I only asked in a polite and friendly manner how the thing was coming along. I didn't beg, or chew poor Av out for 'taking too long'.

I more than anyone can understand what kind of time and commitment goes into development. I just cranked out five hours strait, working on an awful Java project for class.

But developers generally arn't incredibly fragile people who fly into tirades at the mere mention of anything they're working on.
