Some sort of cross between the respect thing and the topic rating would be good. Unfortunately people didn't use the respect one properly, and no-one seems to be using the topic rating. Anyone have ideas as to what'd be a good replacement?

well i got this idea for a long time but it may be a lot of work (not for pros

I would really love to see, once and for all, a skin where the contents of the forum, say TOPICS, go indented as it is in the osx (with few px round corners) and the regular posts have a similar panther-finderish structure, with a mini "toolbar" to be used for editing (as a whatever matching icon) and quoting (as the CD-burner imo, as a try).
Its vauge, so ill post a screenie later tonight.
Can you add these controls to the bottom of the page, too?
When you reach the bottom of a long thread sometimes you want such controls on hand rather than clicking the 'top of page' arrow or scrolling back up.
It looks like OSX with full hinting and low AA (subpixel rendering maybe?).

did a little comparing, looks like linux, because your win95 doesnt have cleartype, and xp's sucks, and osx's is bold. :S
Believe me, that's not linux (I have to stare at it all day). Those are definitely mac fonts (Myriad).
The bolded text is a dead giveaway. I have never seen bold text that clear in freetype.
Also, technicality: It's not really "linux", it's *nix, because freetype, the font engine runs an all different types of unices.
But if it is Linux, I bow before you ji eun.
Of course it's Mac. Jesus, I thought you were joking.
I've only had a Mac for a month but I can spot Mac font rendering a mile away already.

And, not a skin issue, but if possible up the attachment size limit to, say, 100kb, and allow more kinds of attachments?
In general, it's hard to offer skin suggestions as these (and AXP's and Duckie's) boards are far and away the most beautiful I've seen... 'course I'm a little biased what with my aqua obsession :-p
edit: ditch the calendar? seems pretty useless

I did it last night until I got tired (around 4 am). I didn't create any other images or buttons. I just change the CSS and made my own caption images. I could already see a problem though. The smilies will have a white outline. Maybe we could create our own PNG smilies?
