Never mind, I had to edit the pref files to get it to work.
Finderx Preview
Originally posted by Daxziz@Apr 7 2004, 04:33 PMJust here to tell that FinderX will be slowed in develop for a minor amount of time, since I have to get back on work at www.rhapsody-project.tk
In the long run that would win over FinderX anytime

I checked the site and there doesnt seem to be much there at the moment. I like the prospect though.
Rhapsody is more or less a complete project by Apple.
Rhapsody is Mac OS X Server - or became it further on, the nice about this is that Rhapsody DR1 and DR2 was compiled for x86 too - so to say it short - Mac OS for PCs ![]()

how are you able to update the MACH kernel. Are you jsut writing device drivers for it or wantign to actualy modify the kernel, and if so, wouldnt yo uneed the sourcecode?

Interesting, i'd like to see more from this Rhapsody project.

MACH is an OpenSource kernel - it's well documented.
We're however not doing so much about the MACH Kernel since it's very up-to-date as it is. The problem is that Rhapsody DR2 can't handle more than 224 mb of ram ( normally said to be 192, but further investigations by our team showed otherwise ) - nothing weird about a crippled system in a DR2 releae... but when I tell you that DR1 either had a way higher limit or none at all and can run on todays computers what do you think ? Crippled on purpose ? Anyway - what we're doing is comparing the 2 Kernels and merging'em step by step until we find the memory handling and hereby is able to create a DR1 / DR2 hybrid of the Kernel.
