Unpod For Itunes
thank you for releasing some pressure of my host :shy: ![]()
good work, i switch from winamp for this. (Y)
edit---i'm having some problems, none of the plugins are working for me... this is what it looks like for me when i'm playing a file.... the only buttons that work are play/pause, next, previous, and the link to this site..
the displays are not showing up, the menu button doesn't do anything, and the play meter is not moving. i put everything in the right folders (as far as i can tell)

i think i might know what the problem is:
You must have Samurize 1.16 (or 1.15) that will put a plug-in in iTunes folder. Also versions 1.15 and 1.16 come with AMPI (AdvancedMediaPlayerInfo) that is responsible for most of the widget`s info. You can also download AMPI HERE.
Please let me know if this helped.
@ corykg - THANKS for the mirror, it`s going on first page.
@ fokis - i`ve talked to lord of Samurize (Pe7er
) and we think it`s a bug in Samurize. Pe7er said he`ll look around Samurize forums for a possible fix. I`ve acknowledged this bug in the readme file (and i`ve tried to fix it but nothing works, and in the editor it doesn`t go over the iPod)
@ silenedge - sorry for missing it
i was really hoping u`ll get it beofre others but spymac screwed up so you couldn`t dload it
Sorry
@ others - a new version of unPod is coming
so expect more since i`m just getting the hang of Samurize
@ Pe7er - :sofa:

Sorry
I've got it now.
The second link works.
 No problem, everything's fine now. ![]()
my link is working as well silencedge
thanks for getting back to me... i do have 1.16 with the most recent Itunes. I don't see a file being added to Itunes folder, what's the name of the file? one thing i did have to change on the config was on the menu button, i had to change it to my location (not on C drive). is there anything else i need to change like this? and since i do have 1.16, my samurize plug in folder does have AMPI already.
thanks again
hmmm
could you tell me what do you see in editor?
do you even see the fields in iPod`s screen (where the progress bar/other info should be)?
installed correctly, any reason why it cuts my titles?

I dunno.
Spymac doesn't like me...
@ Sone - as i posted before that SHOULDN`T be happening but it still does. Pe7er and i think it`s a bug in Samurize (i tried to ptu scrolling text for long titles but it went 50 pixels to the right, while in editor it looked ok.) What i`m interested is why is the bit rate off the screen. Did you change that? Or is that a bit rate of a wave file?
I`ll look into it (now i`m going out, sorry)
thanks for the feedback everyone. And as soon as i figure out how to fix that bug with titles going off screen i`ll post an update. :shy:

the fields are there in the editor when i start that up, but if i 'test all plugins' they all disappear.

Ok, see you guys later. Dinner time! :naughty:
i got mine fixed, thanks... it turns out that if you have samurize installed, then install itunes, it will create the problem i had. i uninstalled, then reinstalled samurize and now that plugin created in my itunes directory.
thanks, working great.
edit-- everything is working now except of the volume buttons... there's a clicking sound when i press them, but they're not raising or lowering the volume

MOD-DELETE THIS DOUBLE POST, SORRY
THE SCROLLING TEXT ISSUE SOLVED
Sheesh, it was easy ![]()
If you want it to work properly you have to do the following:
1. Right click samurize icon in the systray, from the menu choose 'Edit ConfigFile...'
2. Config Editor will appear. Scroll right and down to see the iPod.
3. Zoom in to see better if you want.
4. Now do Test>Test All Plugins. Fields should update with current song playing info.
5. Click the desired field (artist/track name/album name), then in the pane on the right, in Plugin section, from 'Select Function to Run' choose for example DiscName_Rotate (this _Rotate thing is important here) and input 1 in the window that appears.
6. Now a little bit to the up, in Meter Text Properties choose left for Horizontal Align.
Repeat steps 5 & 6 for all 3 fields.
I hope that everyone will understand this
It's weird that it works only if text is aligned to the left. Oh well....
Unbeliever, sorry, but that PNG that you are using is "made" by me !!! (cut from photo & remade the screen part & buttons)
The original here:

But go on and use it, but credit the right persons ![]()
Not some Lou who might have given you something but didnt make it.

If you have samurize installed elsewhere than in c:\program files then go to samurize\configs, poen up unpod.ini and edit paths there.
And make sure you have the newest samurize version installed.
@wookietv: auch, I think that it has something to do with your sound card, not with samurize. You have it installed in c:\program files, right?
