I don't think any animation is needed. Or rather if docking is implemented, 'sliding' would sufficient. Tabber would appear sluggish and bloated if too much animation is used. Plus the turning page thing doesn't look good. And it's weird.
A suggestion. I think the filename shouldn't be overlapping with the icon. And do give us an option when it comes to the font size.
Oh, and I beg you to give us a Graphite version. Most developers miss that.

2. transparency behind the icons (in the icon area) with the ability to set different translucent colors (like a tinted window).
3. A way to quickly call up mp3's using a search bar under one of the tabs (similar to approcket).
4. drag and drop icons.

i aggree, the turning page would be wierd. if you do include that, it would rock if it were an option so if we dont like that part we could turn it off.

It's gone. Even Alilm doesn't have it.
tabber 1 wasn't really worth it. IT froze my computer a lot. There was no animation. The only abillity to skin was the colors, and even through all of that, i don't think you could put your own shortcuts inside the tabber or edit the ones that were already there.

Tabber o.1 wasnt an amazing app, but flarex here is talking out of his ass.
i liked the first tabber, im sure this one will be just as cool.
i just sifted threw all my mac emu stuff and i thought i had it... but must have lost it last time i restored my comp....

Never tried the first tabber as well... But tabber2 is definitely something worth all the wait it requires.
The screenies look really cool...

Personally, I think this app. could be revolutionary.
Things I would like to see:
1. Drag-and-drop support.
2. Config. that even a **** can figure out.
3. The ability to center it at the bottom of the screen.
4. Support for both icons and pngs.
5. The inclusion of the Start Menu, My Computer and My Documents.
I look forward to watching the progress of this promising app.

A little update on tabber...
Im still very much designing the whole thing, altho Im sure when it comes out itll be very cool. Ive already programmed a mail docklet sorta thing and am working on a weather docklet.

Tabber 2 and Mail for XP will be a great set (Y)
i'm looking forward to tabber .2, i don't want to flame the tabber project, its just that i couldn't use tabber .1, i could barely get it to start. Thats why i'm hoping tabber .2 is going to be better.
