Last heard was from Croka99 on AXP. 
He mentioned something about his completion of the installer, and is now awaiting final approval from xweslex. 
Everything sounds like it's coming through. 
But that post was dated 28th December 2003 though... have been some time now...

Got this link for the finder over at AXP. It will direct you to Croka99's Download Page.

In my opinion, Croka99 has provided the link because there are people interested in trying it out. There's no definite statements that indicate its functionality as yet.

I'd wait for the official release of it before trying.

I dont want to sound like a grump 
went to the link provided and downloaded the setup file and managed to get it to work and to amazment it was just an html file !! 
now dont misunderstand me I think that xwx did a good job a nice and simple no resources wasting mod !! (Y) now lets get down to busines:
after downloading the setup file and running it go to where you've installed it and run the finder.exe file this is just a simple html editting file and change the links or pics to what suits you and then save it and go and double click on the finder.html file and it will run in internet explorer !!! thats it done and dusted, oh and to get the maximum look you must use Y'z toolbar and the theme you desire !!!
I'll work on portting different themes to it (milk,panther etc) after my finals if its ok with xwx !!

I actually really like this mod instead. It means that I can alter it how I want instead of trying to fit links into someone else's mod.
Since I already have a modded shell32, it's now problem.
As soon as I get off work, I'm cracking open Notepad and going to town!
