1. To reset the settings, you need to download the program and reinstall it. There may be a more technical way of doing this that could be better than reinstalling it, but for all I know that's the only way to do it. I wish there was an option in the program to set it back to default, but there isn't yet.
2. As for the reason on WHY it crashes, it's a bug that occurs when a certain .dll is run in IE8, as what I have gathered from trying to troubleshoot the reason. Are you using Vista or XP? Admin rights work wonders, so make sure you have them on. Refer to my instructions on this page or the one before it if you don't know how to enable them. I don't know why Safari would be crashing, because I've never had that problem before. IE8 can usually be fixed if you run the dock with admin rights.

For the "reset settings" thing, I just installed the app in another location and it's working now.
But with the crash problem...it's not working at all, I can't even open IE8 when I have the dock active,
and I'm using Vista Home Premium(x86)with SP2.
It keeps crashing internet explorer, even if i use another browser like Chrome etc.

so initially i couldn't rearrange the icons or magnify them, but saw that avedesk for some reason blocks that feature. so now that works fine, but i can no longer minimize windows to the dock even with that option ticked. anyone know why this is?

Don't know if this was asked but, when I was adding a file, I accidently hit enter without selecting a file so now I have a undelete-able blank space on my dock...
Is there a way to delete it, or should I reinstall?

I have had my desktop stacked into an icon and shown as a list. Hoever doc and docx files opens but with an error. Is there a workaround?
This does not happen when i open the same docx or doc file in stack using grid or fan or gallery view and niether does it happen when i open ppt/pptx or xls/xlsx (ms office 12 file formats) from the list view.

Well... the problem is with the list, so I'll suppose it's the variable he's storing the list items in that's experiencing the out of bounds error. Have you tried removing your doc/docx files, or renaming them, or changing the extention temporarily? It might be the filename that's causing the problem.
Either way, this is a bug that Bobah must've overlooked while writing the list stacks.
I have every reason to believe that it is the file extension that is causing the problem. Yes i did change the doc extension to dot (template file for MS word) but the error message appeared again just like it did when i opened the doc file in list mode.

I more thing - just what does 'monitoring' do? I do not think it shows files that are added to the folder that is atacked in real time does it - because if so it does not work for me as i have to exit the program and restart it to reflect changes in the contents of my stacked folders.
Will someone explain please??
"monitoring" makes the stack bounce whenever stuff happens to it. You define the stuff in the options, and yeah, to uninstall, delete the folder.
