it could never be eclipsed by WinTunes taking the fact how much time and effort Stevie put into developing this skin. (And iTunes can`t play videos, so i guess i`ll always have the need for a WMP9 iTunes skin )

I'm glad people are so enthusiastic about my skin... I'd never even intended to release this, at first :shy:

The problem, of course, is that a skin for WMP will never get the coverage that a custom built application by one of the world's largest computer companies will... In a broad sense (raw users), Windows iTunes will likely overshadow my skin, but in the sense of it being overshadowed in the skinning/MacOS emulation communities, I think that, as you put it, unbeliever, "iTunes can`t play videos, so [people in the skinning/MacOS emulation communities will] always have the need for a WMP9 iTunes skin".

It's looking more and more likely that tomorrow will be "D-Day", by the way - I've done the miniplayers now. All I've got to do is a couple of small tweaks to the EQ, and set up player state saving, then it should be ready...

I thought of the same thing after I posted this. It remains to be seen how well itunes for win actually works and I doubt the care was put into that program that this conversion has. Plus, yeah, the video stuff. Though Media Player is by far not the best for that, it does come pre-installed.

I'll try both. Not a huge deal since QCD is still around.

Hi everyone, I thought you might all like to know that I've decided never to ever release this skin to the public :naughty:

Seriously, though, everything's pretty much on track for releasing the "Directors Cut" (blue mouse-overs, non-clustered window control mouse-overs) and the "True OSX" (very subtle grey mouse-overs, clustered window control mouse-overs) versions of the skin...

For your info, I've been talking to Binary and b0se, and there may well be a few other versions on the way (but that's not a promise), such as "Platinum" (no brushed effect, just shiny grey), and a series of different window control changes (blue, graphite, OpusMetal Glass/DarkGlass)...

These, however, are only thoughts that we've had between ourselves, and may never be created. I promise nothing on this front.

Anyway, like I said: Look for a [release] thread tonight (at around 8 or 9 pm GMT). After the thread's been created and stuff, I'll put a link to it in here
