Windows:Ctrl+Alt+Delete opens Task manager.

Mac OS X Panther:
For the suck effect go to terminal and type the command after$: "defaults write com.apple.dock mineffect suck"
Now log out, and log back in and watch it in action!
And for Tiger (and Leopard), you can use TinkerTool and/or ****tail to enable the "suck-in" effect very easily.
You can also use Onyx for that, plus a lot of other hidden features.
Mac OSX:
Hold down the shift key when you press F9 expose, F11 hide open apps, or F12 open widgets and you get a cool slo-mo effect. Same for reversing those processes.
On Windows holding the shift key and using your scoller on the mouse navigates back and forth, when using IE & firefox.
Look carefully at your keyboard. Notice the F and J Key have small marks under the letters.

It's to find your two lead fingers destination keys without looking at the keyboard... (for people who dont type like second graders)
Switch to the Dvorak keyboard layout. It's better. Also, enough with the words. They're somewhat boring and endless.
Did you know on XP: To reclaim a locked file, you can start up your system in Safe Mode (F8 at startup) and reset the owner of a file? (Useful if the drive your OS is on gets corrupted and you have locked files on it.)

you can make keyboard shortcuts for any application or system file. Simply make a shortcut, right click > properties, and in the Shortcut box, do your desired key combination. It will show up what it is, hit OK.
hide the shortcut (if you wish....) and do the keyboard shortcut...baddabing, there is your
application.
on OS X;
Shift-Command-Q = Log Out
Shift-Option-Command-Q = Force Log Out
Shift-Command-Delete = Empty Trash
Option-Shift-Command-Delete = Empty Trash no window (empties without dialog)
Command-E = Eject
Command-Space = Spotlight
Command-esc = Front Row
Option-Command-D = Show/Hide Dock
Command-Shift-3 = Screenshot (to make up for no Print Scrn button

That Shortcut box actually doesn't appear for *every* application or system file. I don't remember when it doesn't work, but I found it of limited utility...just wanted to make sure you all knew

yes it does, if you make a shortcut for it
i.e.
Right Click > Create shortcut
then set the shortcut box in that shortcut....a little confusing but read it a couple times and you'll get it
