#447692

1. XP - i use it day in day out.

1. OS X Tiger - i use it day in day out.

3. FreeBSD - i have no idea how to use it but it's secure, and always running flawlessly when we need it.

4. Windows 2000 - it is the most bullet-proof Windows.

5. Any other Linux distribution - don't really care for them an awful lot.

The only time i'll ever use Vista is when developers stop supporting XP, otherwise i have no need for it.

#447716

i agree. that is until XP becomes outdated, or my PC. whatever comes first.

Or maybe if the 2nd SP comes out

#447726

4. Windows 2000 - it is the most bullet-proof Windows.

Who the hell is shooting at it? :P

#447736

Windows XP Pro SP2

2. Panther

3. Ubuntu

4. <>

#447840

1. Mac OS X 10.4

2. Windows XP Professional Corp.

3. Check #4

4. Check #5

5. Ubuntu Linux

I chose Mac OS X, because hello, I have a Mac. Also, Windows XP because welcome to earth, this is the most widely used OS. Ubuntu Linux is all the way at the bottom because I personally don't find any real use for it except the occassional need for Live CDs.

It took me 10 minutes to write this whole post because I'm on OS 9 on a G3 at school...

#447843

5. dos with win3.x

Boo ya! I used to run Windows 3.11 on an old "laptop" that didn't have a battery (at least, not one that could hold a charge) and weighed about 20 pounds. Ahh... the good old days.

#447969

ha. that isnt totally true.

Windows 98 is actually a stable OS. I like it still. I use it on my Mac with Bootcamp (hush, dont tell the boss!) i use it mostly because some programs that i use to make other programs using the BASIC programming language require Windows 98....so its not totally worthless.

my top 5?

1. Windows Vista

2. Windows XP

3. Windows Me

4. Windows 2000

5. Windows 98SE

:D

Pfft. Why bother to buy a Mac then, the pretty hardware? If you bother using a Mac with bootcamp, then a OS X is somewhere in that list (even if you do work at microsoft). I imagine windows 98 is a pain to troubleshoot for.

Mine: Leapord

Tiger

Vista

XP

Linuxes (want to try them, haven't gotten the chance)

#447979

3. Windows Me

I'm sorry. I know you're an MS Employee, but huh?! I challenge you to name 5 significant improvements of ME over 98.
