I will finally have my Wii before christmas!
Amen to that, the Wii already sold over 600,000 units. They had more consoles available on launch then their competitors and their still selling out systems thanks to their unique gaming style and thrifty pricetag. I went with my friend to pick up an extra controller so we can play WiiSports and even those are soldout, thats when you know a system is successful, when their accessories are difficult to locate.
I personally think 600 dollars is a bit too much to jerk some joysticks around on a controller when I could be doing homework or studying

Actually, only the white Wii has come out. No one knows when the black or any other colour will be released.

They didn't release any other colors, since they wanted people to just buy a wii instead of trying to get a certain color.

haha, some guy bought my ps3 for 920 dollars on ebay, I am not complaining. You just have to walk into the store at the right time and day when they get the shipment. that is what I did.

I got mine at the Navy Exchange here in San Diego, Thay had plenty of 60GB and 20GB in stock of course you have to know someone that in the Military to get inside the base. By the way Timan I have Resistance also and that game is awesome and know i'm planning on getting the Wii and Zelda for christmas. Good Luck Timan on finding one but I think the Military base might be your best bet to get a PS3.

I'm not all that interested in playing games, Wii, Xbox, PCs... what ever, but if Blu-Ray does catch on that will probably be the reason i buy a PS3, in say, 1 year from now. So if there are more people like me, it makes their Blu-Ray inclusion all the more comprehensible.

The wii is completely new, and anyone who has played both must admit that playing Wii is millions of times better. The graphics aren't BAD they just aren't AS good as PS3. What comparisons can you make? Playing Twilight Princess or RedSteel having sword fights and actually aiming at your screen to shoot VS. Riiiidge Racer

Can you name some real games for the PS3, like Resistance, Tekken 5, Gran Turismo HD, GTA IV, Metal Geat Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Tekken 6, Madden NFL 07, Virtua Fighter 5, Just a name a few that's is coming to the PS3.

Wii games like Super swing golf, no more heroes, smash bros. Brawl, Wii play, Rayman Wii, WarioWare, red steel, Zelda Twllight Princess, and ZELDA is the best game for the Wii right now. Yes it's completely new but overall it's steal aim towards kids, and I can talk because I have all 3, Wii, PS3, and the Xbox-360 and I play my PS3 more than the other 2, so don't bash a system because you can't afford it because without a good game your Wii, PS3's or 360's will be nothing, the games will make or break a console, not a controller.
I disagree. As you see, i didn't mention the price in my arguement because I understand why the PS3 is so expensive. You say the Wii is aimed towards kids.. Have you played RedSteel? Now with the Wii you can enjoy games like Splinter Cell, because all games like that are horrible on consoles other than PC. Wrestling games, imagine playing them when they are released on the wii. Since the Wii has all types of controllers you can play any game you can imagine.
The controller can make or break games. People are getting bored (with the exception of a couple people) with the same old gameplay, the same old games-concept since the PS1. The only new thing implemented is graphics. Also I'd like to mention that the PS3 now doesn't have rumble, which gives you a flat gaming experince. Why didn't Sony go ahead and develope their own rumble technology when they got sued for the other one?
I have played the Wii and it is wicked fun... but strip away the multiplayer and the 'friends' and 'family can play too' element and your left with a console with last gen graphics and games that are a little weak...
I thought my vote would lie with the PS3, being the superior with hardware; but I am yet to see it amaze me... balls dont count for everything.
So the Wii is fun, the PS3 is superior... which leaves me with the 360.
by no means a standout, this is just a good (even if basic) alrounder console without the silliness of swinging around a remote all day and without having to fork out all the extra $$$$$...
I hate Microsoft... but at least they are making negative profits when they sell these right?
I love the Halo series, and this is why I bought mine (halo 1,2,3)... I play this against my brother occasionally and like the single player campaign (cant wait for 3!)
So my reasons for the 360-
-It has wireless controllers
- it has a wide selection of games
- i like the way it looks
- it has games I like to play by myself at home.
(ok so its more like xbox 1.5 than 360, but its still a solid contender not to be overlooked, it is the most balanced console, while it lacks wow factor, it doesnt have any major downpoints like both the wii and ps3)
Ohh and I also use my Macbook to play half-life 2
The 360 does have some downpoints, in the fact that it doesn't have anything amazing, even less so than the ps3, which i must admit has amazing graphics...
