That's a lovely idea ! I second you Smoovie.*When new members sign up lock them into the forum with FAQ's and forum rules until they've read everything. Then they can have access to the rest of the forum.
For my part I "want" a tutorial section and a preview for every release (icon/visual style/wp), not just a link.

Its just css and learning to use the dom inspector.
Also Mozilla's actual forums have far superior information then we could ever hope to achieve.

I am all for people doing their own mods of the skin. Problem is, you need to get the images and css yourself. Then once you modify all that, I can pop it into vb as a child skin, and thats it.
What about different max inline image sizes and standard titles for Icon/Wall Requests thread (let's face it, all the titles are pretty much the same now anyway...)?

I agree with wuzzie, a ranting forum would be nice... where we can start all arguements about trivial things... and we can all just know that there are no rules to that area so we can go ape arguing about why macs are better than pc, or why unbe needs a new avatar or why the sky is blue.
We had one before, problem is the community here is so stupid. Having people like liquid ranting on how vista is such a nice os... is just crazy.

I'm just saying that the community (or maybe just a few of us) really need a tutorial section.
It's make it clearer and a lot more simple to find answers to our questions.

One developer commented that he wasn't sure how much visibility releases in that forum would gather, as compared to releases in the main Community Applications forum. Any comments?

I will agree on one bit, something I mentioned when we originally cleaned up the forums... Too many sub forums might make the place all clean and crap, but makes it a pain for the end user to navigate through. Think its time to merge some of our forums.
