Just out of curiosity, how does it not look like a Mac?

It's a real Mac. I'm using Siro 2.2 as my GUIkit.

As for the font, it's called Silkscreen. Can be found here: http://www.kottke.org/plus/type/silkscreen/

Also there is no skin, all I did was reduce the opacity to 5% and remove the shadow from AdiumX.

Yep, g8trtim is right, the controlling widget ist buttons but there's a second widget that I'm using to show the album art, called Reflective AlbumArt2. Enjoy!
