do any of you know where I can find a working version of the Ichat-Miranda Bubbles??
Do you mean the blue and white bubbles? if so, the link still works on the frontpage or do you mean someting else?
@pascal: you might try downloading "scriver" and using it instead of tabsrmm. I am going to rewrite this walkthrough soon, and that will be the plugin of choice.
@austin: what do you mean by "working"? The ones I know of work just fine, they're in some thread here on the forums...
my im message screen looks the same as alfredluarca's in that my avatar doesn't show up as anything but a blue square, and the other's is an X. i figured out how to deal with their avatar...but not my own. How did you make the ghostie and the clock?
edit: also, there is a huge gap between two of the top buttons on my buddylist. it's between the add contact and the show options.
otherwise, this is the im i have been looking for all my life. you are my hero.
@Transparent: "huge gap"??? could you post a screenshot?
If you want to set your avatar for an ieview theme, go to the folder you installed that ieveiw theme in, and there should be a couple of .pngs or .jpegs or something, one for "them" and one for "me." You should be able to change the "me" avatar to something else and it will show up in your ieview window.
I have been trying to replace the avatars from different themes by using png files in the same size as the orginals but I keep getting jagged edges and some show a darker square background as if there was not trasnparency. Any tips will be appreciated....
I fixed the gap by changing one of my contact's names, and then I was able to resize, so no problem there. I will go right now and follow your instructions. Thanks so much!
EDIT: I tried that; it worked, but they're ittybitty. Any tips? If not, that's fine; I just noticed that yours were much beigger; but I'm just happy I have something there!
Your tips worked ppope, thnx a lot ![]()
My clist modern also is not working, could someone host a working version?
clist modern is not working with the released miranda version 0.4.0.3- u must use the nightly builds- this has been posted at the miranda forums- first download the 0.4.0.3 version- run miranda- then go to this site- http://blog.miranda-im.org/ download the RC1 build 49 binaries for winxp- extract the files to your miranda directory- latest plugins will be installed- then you can use your clist modern plugin provided... and if ever you're still going to use a different clist modern build- use the unicode version coz the nightly builds are in unicode
Just taken this guide for a spin, and it works perfectly. What would normally take me hours has been cut down to minutes. Thanks, and great work on an excellent guide ![]()
you're welcome Simon and pascal, such thanks are always appreciated ![]()
Is it normal that I'm not able to read anyones away message in miranda, or their profile?
read it where?? what protocols??
When i go to view someones profile, it brings up Firefox, and says their profile cannot be found
am i missing something really easy?, cause its seems like i am.
It doesnt support that.. (Miranda)
You should be able to read their status message though, I can do that, and I don't think I'm running anything fancy to do it either.
under contact list -> row items...for 2nd line I have it display the "away message" and it seems to work just fine...
For Second line I have the Away Message box check too, but it doesnt seem to work for me =/
how do you get Smilies working??!, I have tamssrm ver.0, 9, 9, 97 and iEview ver.1.0.5.2, according to Ppoppe there is supposed to be a Smiley option under Customizing or Events but is not there? ![]()
Install smileyadd and get a ieview compatible smileypack. That did the trick for me.
it doesn't work Pascal, when the smilie is sent all I get is text generated smilies like
, istead of some happy face
It doesn't work Pascal All i get is the text generated : ), instead of ![]()
Edit: >_< Double posted?! how the..., It truly wasn't my fault.
(It's okay, don't worry about it. -NC)
strange, i installed smilleyadd (newest version) and i converted the ico's from a smileyadd pack to gifs en then it worked. Maybe somebody else knows a solution.
Ok.. Download a smily pack and stick it somewhere easy to find. Go to Options --> Smilys then click the " .. " and find the .asl file in the smily pack
Smiley pack:
Austin: you have smileyadd installed? Do you have the menu item customize -> smileys or events -> smileys?? (it varies depending exactly which build of Miranda you have).
yes, but the smilies don't show up when they're sent or when I am typing them I get the text generated equivalent
