Please bring back memory saving, because I used to run iTunes with less than 5 MB of memory, and now I can't get it below 45 MB, no matter whether it's minimized or not. This makes a huge difference - it was why I loved MP so much in the first place!

Does the same thing (in addition to other cool little features not covered by mplugin). Works fine with mplugin and 4.9.
I didn't see that donation link either. You should put a page with your paypal address in the setup LC. I sent you a little something...that's about as much as I can afford right now without bouncing checks when I order my iMac

Anybody having issues skinning the volume control? (files: ExtendediTunes_332.bmp & ExtendediTunes_333.bmp)
Mine always shows up as the default volume knob, which is a bummer, cause I'm working on updating one of my old skins to work with v4.9.
Try it out - change to the Orange skin and see if a selected volume knob shows up blue...

Arathon - I guess I'll bring it back as an option in the next release. I didn't think people cared about it at all.
gtn - thanks for pointing that out. An older version of the skinning code required an upper limit of about 330 and I forgot to remove that.
Foobar passthrough doesn't work for me.
I enable it, and as soon as I exit the preference window I get an error txt file.
can you give me a list of the files in the components folder?maybe there is some component that makes that isn't compatible with the my plugin.
btw, did you try restarting iTunes with the option enabled? maybe it doesn't work instantly but it will work on startup.

I just tried restarting itunes with the option enabled, same error message.
EDIT: I just reinstalled foobar, and it works now.

local now that I've made a donation...;p (everyone who uses mplugin extensively should BTW) can I suggest the integration of the options offered by iTunes sidekick in the next version of mplugin. Although sidekick works great at the moment I wonder if it will be like that with iTunes 5.0 etc. Also nice to get everthing is one plugin, thinking about transparency options, minimize, hide taskbar icon in both full and mini modes. The great new mplugin option menu should make it easier to add additional appearence tweaks.
Great job by Evolution but I don't think there has been any updates for some time so thinking about future iTunes versions...
great job on the Multi Plugin. I can't get the media key fix to work, however, neither just using the option in Multi Plugin nor when using either of the suggested fixes in this thread. The multimedia key fix is the most important feature of Multi Plugin in my humble opinion and it could be great to get a fix on this soonest? hell I might even paypal you for doing it...
vkeios - I've checked it and 0.66 really makes this problem, but my current build doesn't. it will be fine in the next release.
lid - That's all easy to add, only adding the buttons is a little annoying 
I'll do it.
buiz - I'm constantly trying to see what's wrong with it and changing things that could interrupt the function of the keys. Maybe they will work in the next release. btw, do the keys work for you without Multi-Plugin? If not, I think you should install the newest drivers for your keyboard.

1. iTunes draws the it's windows a LOT faster when transparency is enabled! even when you set the transparency to 100%. Finally I can switch between the iTunes window and another window instantly.
2. The iTunes window looks really bad with a WindowFX shadow when the opacity level is low. WindowFX seems to make the borders of the window more opaque then the rest of the window. Is it the same with iTunes Sidekick?

Yeah I've noticed that with WindowFX and all windows when made transparent. It seems that the shadow is drawn from inside the edge of the window meaning that once transparency is low you can actually see the edge of the shadow coming through. It's the same with Sidekick, I guess the only solution would to make the shadow less opaque as the window transparency changes; I'm guessing this would have to be implemented from within windowsFX though.
BTW: Great to see you've decided to implement the options!! I use sidekick for some mini-mode transparency, minimise to tray and hiding the taskbar icon; all very useful tweaks.
Stardock should really implement this, it's quite easy. They just need to multiply the shadow level by the window's percent of the opacity. I tried implementing it myself using some hooking but I couldn't get it to work.
what do you mean in minimize to tray? that option is already there in iTunes itself.
localhost - no it did not work without Multi Plugin either. It used to work in previous versions of iTunes/MultiPlugin but stopped working when I upgraded to this one. Anyway I appreciate you are looking into this and do let me know if I can help with some testing or something (unfortunately can't assist with coding).
while on the subject of multimedia keys -- I have always wondered why volume control on multimedia keyboards always "pointed to" the general windows volume without the option of pointing it to a specific program or player. If Multi Plugin could address this too and allow for volume control of iTunes specifically it'd be super fantastic!! just a thought...

It works in the same way as mplugin minimize to try by lowering iTunes mem usage significantly over the normal minimize to tray option.
buiz - so maybe they will work again in 0.67 I've changed something about the keys again.
lid - I've put that back as an option.
0.67 will be released as soon as I stabilize the "Welcome to Multi-Plugin" thing.
localhost - it works now!! actually at first it did not work after install, but then I deleted my keyboard under device manager, forcing Windows to re-install the driver and now it works like a charm. Sweet man, well done.
if you one day get to adding features then a feature to have the multimedia volume control adjust iTunes volume (not general windows) directly it'd be cool.

For now only the Longhorn Alternative skin is available, I think.

I didn't notice it's the 0.66 thread. It has a problem with some skins, why not use 0.67?
