Aqua-Soft ForumsI will not even think of starting the iPB or vb3.5 version till they are both final. I am not building for these beta/rc builds becasue they change way too much stuff in the final version. Not skinning the same thing twice.

What is taking vBulletin so long to release this... sorry guys for those waiting on the updated versions and the ipb port, but both companies are taking forever to release their products... vb3.5 is done imo... they just are waiting for peoples licenses to expire.
WIth vbull basically they are leaving it longer to avoid an RC4 ..... they wanna catch as many bugs in rc2 as possible so that rc3 should be the last cadidate before gold .... Gotta say though I`m likin that plugin system .. it rocks to high hell
Timan, having worked in software development for a project that thousands of people are eagerly awaiting (Desert Combat Mod for BF1942) - let me tell you that its far more preferable to get all the bugs out first rather than throwing hotfixes out when these bugs are in the open. We learnt our lesson when we rushed a release and it was discovered that an aircraft carrier didn't actually clip with land, it could be driven all the way across a map 
Damn I loved that mod, I've been playing dc since one of its first releases frank did, was just on el alamein and everytime a warthog spawned it would blow up, the jets were too fast no one could fly em at the time. Ah those were the days.
Yea I understand that, but the fact they've releases numerous builds of vb3.5 so fast then it just take forever for the final version... (guess you can say like dc was towards the end).

Where did the skin/stlye chooser go? I'll be offering this is an additioanl skin on my forum but I cant see where you can choose the skin you want. I notice on your forum you have an 'appearance' selector in the botton right hand corner. It doesnt appear on my forum after I install your skin.

Yea, reason its not included in the skin, because right now they are just links in the footer to set a specific skin here at aqua-soft.
If you want I can get you the code to put in the footer to have a drop down (like vb3 default).

Add this to the "footer" template.
Scroll down to where you see the table that has the footer links and skin by...
Then just add this to that table, looks best after the skin by note.

Another question for you Timan!
How do I change the logo at the top of the forum? The code for it doesnt seem to be in the Header template. I'd like to create my own logo using the same colour scheme - is the current logo a PSD file?

To change the logo just overwrite the
images/as/site_logo.gif file with your logo.
If you want the best results while saving it as a gif (your logo), make the matte #f0f0f0; that way it fits in the header perfectly. If not just save it as normal, should still look fine.
VB3.5 RC3 has just been released ... one step closer to the gold version .. Kier seems to recon gold will come next ... sounds good to me

Like with v3 I think they'll only have 3 RCs. We'll see, the forum is looking good though, everything is working smoothly and some really nice hack ports have been made allready. ^^ Can't wait until it's out!

First have to wait for VB3.5, like I sad before... the IPB2.1 skin will be based off of it.
I can prob do both skins at about the same time. Have to wait till I get access to both tho.

yeah ipb was in RC for a while, although it only made RC 1 before being released, which is good, obviously errors will still be found, but that happens in every software, and theirs always someone trying to hack it and find flaws.
so how long after vb, do you reckon you can create the skin???

I have ipb2.1 already setup on my local machine, now I just await vb3.5 which better be out within a week or I'll start on IPB
