im having troubles installing this theme when i go into my control pannel for wordpress i get this
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
and then underneath it says its for the aqua-soft skin

the livesearch and the "recent" forum post thingie doesn't work for me.. i receive this message: "Oops! Looks host user password like we're having technical difficulties with LiveSearch at the moment."
But I'm pretty sure my database works or how else would my blog work? Any ideas?

yes livesearch doesn't work , i try to make it work but with no result 
The recent forum post thing is only supposed to work with vBulletin.
The livesearch thing should work, make sure you have the files in the right folder.

Well I am using vBulletin v3.0 so that should not be a problem, but it still is not working.
I've put the livesearch files on several places to make sure I have not put it on a wrong place, but I'm pretty sure it's on the right place now.

edit: fixed that one.. now only the livesearch has to get fixed somehow..
To enable livesearch
the livesearch.php is just not being directed to the mysql server, you can edit the wp-config.php or do a manual hack like the one below.
Open your livesearch.php
find this line
@mysql_connect(******, *******, *******)
replace with this
@mysql_connect(localhost, myMYSQLusername, mypassword)
and also fix
@mysql_select_db(myMYSQLdatabaseHERE)
then you need to change the path on the icons in the livesearch.php file.
After you do that it should work.
ok i'm almost there i can feel it.. i made a mistake when i followed your directions, and entered the database-information for wordpress in livesearch.php, it worked, but when i changed it to the database of vbulletin, i get the message "Oops! Looks database like we're having technical difficulties with LiveSearch at the moment."

I would like to add a left sidebar to the theme, making it a three column design. Anybody knows how I could clone the the right sidebar so that I add another column on the left side?
Any suggestions/guidance is very welcome, since I am not a designer or programmer, but only a blog writer.

well I've decided after using wordpress for quite some time that i dont really like it. its great that it has awesome templates and all but i just feel that lifetype is so much better, its open source, supports a built in photo album, media section , and more. now i know that alot of work wen into the aqua soft wordpress theme as is, but i think that it wouldnt be hard to port it over as a lifetype template. why? because you already have icons such as forums, resources, about.. that are linkable. so say if you were to port it, the about or disclaimer icon be the section for photos. i'm sure you have already heard of lifetype (used to be called plog if you didnt know) but i just think it would be awesome. if this doesnt get ported does anyone know of any lifetype templates that have a mac or aqua style to them?

It works as I was running the skin with a 2.0 nightly a week or so ago.
Are you going to be upgrading the skin to take advantage of all the new features in Wordpress 2.0 or are you going to leave it how it is? Just wanted to know before I go customizing, editing, ect.. to the skin.
I think the theme will not be upgrated, you must do it yourself if you wont something to change.
The best thing would be to add the second sidebar.
