Aqua-Soft Forumssounds like Searchlight will give me exactly what i miss right now - an option to list files created after a given date (i.e. an easier way to browse my downloads).

1 improvement to make: make it so that the searchlight box doesn't appear on launching the EXE like it is on the skin demo, because I have it on AutoRun, and it pops up...
How about a preliminary release/tech demo?
i've been checking up on this thread since it began, so i have read it.
its just that its been a week since build 2 was done, and tig4 has, i'm sure, been working as hard as he can to get this done on the side of whatever else he does. Just wondering how far its got, and whether or not we could have a teaser build or something. It was a question, not meant at you, if you don't mind me mentioning.
Well, if you really HAD read the thread you would know that this is a PREVIEW release and he already stated that it wouldn't act the same way upon initial release.
Pressuring developers is a good way to get yourself:
1. Flamed
2. Banned
I mean, come on...it's FREE.
Not like you're losing something by it not being available now.
Also, Don't you want him to be sure he is releasing a safe, clean, and bug free product?
So just ease up. He'll get to it when he gets to it.

^^ is that not a clear recognition that it is a preview release? skin demo in fact is even more specific. Simply stating a possible annoying instance to make sure the final IS in fact a clean product is in no way harmful.
And pressuring the developer? come on, I am a developer of C# apps and I know how annoying it can be. Its not like i'm saying "where can i download it now?" and saying I want a release NOW. I'm saying that its been a long time, and more than being interested in an actual release, I'm interested in seeing how far this has come. The intended response was a statement or screenshot of the progress so far, as well as considering the possibilty of releasing the current build as a technology demo. It's far easier to see the annoying bits of your product while developing the first release and not to go back and revise things, and then realise half of the rest is now broken. So, I think you'll find it was innocently meant. OK, a clearer thing to do would have been to ask how far the app has progressed, but the intended reply would have been along the lines of "its too early for any sort of release... here's a screenshot of how its loking right now... the final is going to have..... new"
In any case, how is development going?
I saw an extension called "Google Desktop Extreme" doing similar things, but its "live searching" is really...unpractical (the result list re-renders on typing).

Something's weird though..his signature links to some site with a URL http://www.audiofreak.net but it seems to be blank. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
