I'm using iTunes Traditional Chinese version 4.7.1, with MultiPlugin 0.5.2 uninstalled.

I have put a little different method of sorting the shadow offset, it will be released later, but i can't guarantee it will work for you as i don't have the problem. If you don't use the latest version of WindowFX, which is 2.12 I think, upgrade it.

about the menu font, it's not related to iTunes. it's global font for all the menus. I don't think I can change it specifically in iTunes. You can use WindowBlinds and apply a per-application skin to iTunes though.

Only the titlebar is skinned using my custom bitmaps. Every other element is applied on top of the current skin.
For using only the iTunes resources, I would have to guess a lot of formulas used by Apple to apply the masks. If someone knows those formulas, i'd be happy to remove the dependency on my files. Besides, you don't have to skin iTunes using Multi-Plugin, you can just use the other features.

yea i was aware of that, but still crashes. do i need to keep them at a certain resolution? i believe yours are at 96x96res and 18x18 pixels? when i use the "developers template" without altering any of the files, it crashes on start up. i rename it to something else and it starts up just fine. (i suppose it doesnt find the folder and uses the defaults).
so i guess what i am asking is, what is different about the files in the "developers template" from the other skins? the other ones work just fine for me, so there must be something somewhere that the developers template that is different.

p.s. is anyone else having success with making skins? i suppose i should just use another skin as a template rather than "developers template"

i'm not sure if i understood you correctly. if you change the name of the Developer Template folder, but don't change anything there, and then load the skin that has the name of the new folder, does it still crash?
my plugin changes the bitmaps in iTunes by their loading order. if the order is different in your computer, it could easily crash, altough i don't see a reason that it will be different.
i'll release a version tomorrow that can dump all the bitmaps of iTunes by their loading order so you could see if it's different.

oops didnt mean for it to come out all confusing. what i meant was how i remedied the crashing was by renaming the folder. then i would go into iTunes and switch to the skins that worked. the "developers skin" wont work any way i try, whether it be renaming it, or attmeping to replace any files. i uninstalled the mplugin, deleted the skins folder, re-installed mplugin, and the delopers skin still doesn't work.
i really wish someone else would try this so i can see if its just me or if its something else.

you can also try removing files from the Extended folder to see if it works.
the QT_xxx files are the most sensitive ones, so they might cause the problem...

Well I've checked the Chinese iTunes.exe file and it's definately not the problem. All the iTunes.exe files of localized versions are the same, and the things that differ are the resource folders.
Do you have administrator privileges?
The patching process is pretty simple, it could fail only on opening the file for writing, which might be caused by insufficient privileges.

make sure you do not have an itunes shortcut in your dock (ie yz or objectdock) if you do just close the dock and then install
Objectbar also doesn't recognize iTunes on my machine. I'm using CRNI's Panther theme, if you need to test it.

Ahhh it's fantastic!
I'm loving at last being able to add shadow to my iTunes; but I am having the same issue as before mentioned when I remove the menu; which is a shame, because this update has also caused my OB to *always* recognize the menus, which no previous version of multiplugin has done XD
btw, no skinning option has caused any crashes.. all a.o.k on that front here.
Running WFX newest version(whatever beta version it was in the link you get when you buy it - tried using the non beta 2.12 but it gives me some problems generally), Wb 4.5, OB 1.6, OD+1.1.510u all full versions.
**EDIT** Observation - If the 'default' skin is used, OB will not recognise the menus, but as long as a skin has been applied, OB will reconise them. A link maybe?
**EDIT 2** Another Observation - Allowing WinFX to apply shadow causes a really noticable slow down when dragging the window, far more impact on moving than with other windows with shadows applied. Could there be some kind of horrible clash with iTunes and WinFX, or is it in the plugin?
I don't have that issue with the shadow, but i've changed the way WindowFX detects the offset, I'll post it later.
dragging the iTunes window with a shadow enabled is slower than other windows just like any other UI part of iTunes. iTunes is a pretty heavy program. I don't think it's related to my plugin...

Winamp recognize doesn't work with the (!WAT) command in MSN Plus in the new version of mplugin, worked fine in older versions...
It appears that Messenger Plus! has a problem reading text from the fake Winamp window of the new version of my plugin...I don't really know what's the reason...
looking at the old code, it's almost identical :/
Try contacting Patchou about it...other programs get the text fine, so the problem should be in his program.

The slowness with shadows seems to have dissappeared (not updated yet, about to though) since I last loaded iTunes. Looks like it was probably a one off thing. I blame windows
Thank you for issuing complete new version that allows us to change fonts as well as skins.
However, everytime I shut down iTunes, it causes a taskbar petit-hung up. It usually takes 20-30 seconds and suddenly recovers.
It seems that iTunes taskbar control cannot be shut down and causes windows taskbar hungup since iTunes taskbar control suddenly appears just before windows taskbar recovers.
