Hey ave, im new to this whole avedesk world and it seems pretty darn cool but im having trouble getting my heels dug in and getting what i want done. i was tryin to use that darned powdermount then i saw you posted that it crashes and to use pidlshortcut. What I am trying to do is mount my 3 harddrive partitions with metres showing the size of the drive and percent used belew, problems 1 the icon, the pid has an icon but i use 128bit icons and the one with the widget has choppy edges when i do that so i want to turn that off, second my bars arent appearing. what i am looking for is maybe a point towards a forum thread that can help me learn what im doing. (new to aquasoft too) thanks

I just did a quick shortcut and its working fine. Shows the drive space no problem for me.
Using the following: %f or %pF (for percent)
It works here too...kgraphik has a label wrong or has the wrong version of a DLL or something

I had downloaded 1.2 when it went final to upgrade from a beta build. I redownloaded AveDesk again today, grabbed the .dll from the .zip file and when I went to replace it with the one I had on my computer, I saw they both had different modified dates. One on Feb 16 (the one on my pc) and Feb 21 (the one from the zip). 
Fixed now, sorry about that.

Go to the mouse properties in control panel and slow down the double click speed a little bit

Is there any screenshots of Avedesk to look at before installing it?

The systray icon is invisible in my systray, how do I reset it? I couldnt find a solution in this thread.

I did read your post, and if you would actually READ the help out there (this question has been asked like a half dozen times), you'd know what I was talking about. If you have any desklets, you can access the control panel by right clicking on them, and then go to global options/tray icon and fix it there. If you don't have any desklets, then search, 'cause there's a way to fix it anyway, I think by going to your c:documents and settingsYOUapplication dataAveDesk and open your settings.xml file. One of the first things there is "show tray icon" change it from 0 to 1.

ve just got one problem. When i make a shortcut the image of the shortcut disappears some times, so i have to set the image again. Is there anyway around this?
@prateek: you hafta make sure to change the icon under the "icon" tab, not just by clicking on the "image" button and changing it there. only changing the icon is permanent
