My 3 New Opera Skins

machineHED:

Maybe its my fault

I cant remember the original state of the .ini files because I tried several ways to obtain the compact menu (and then Opera changes the archive structure with the new version -including a profiles folder, etc)

I am making a new readme (below is the compact menu section of it), maybe you can try it(dont know if it's correct yet):

4- To put the Main Menu in a button (like Phoenix "Compact menu")

In the toolbar.ini you are using located in Profile folder (X:\Program Files\Opera7\profile\toolbar\)

make the changes below, Open Opera and in preferences choose this file (maybe opera minimal, opera minimal modified, minimal toolbar)

Attention: Press Alt-P to access preferences if you lose you menu when open opera after turn off Menu (File,Edit,View,.......):

Find Section:

[browser Toolbar]

Paste this: Button0, "Menu"="Show popup menu, "Browser Menu Bar", , , "Open document""

Tell me if it works

So you are releasing all four soon?

#23346

Yes, Dont have much time now, but...

I found some problems when use different windows visual styles (when they come with font size settings). Opera takes their settings and the skins dont look well with some themes. I dont know if it's possible to have an internal font size setting yet. I will not release them until I fix this (dont want people having a lot of versions of the same skins). Thank you

#23356

hmm.. for some reason these skins crash even a fresh install of opera 7.10 on my machine. hmm....

#24192

OOO but I figured out how to fix it!!!!

within each zip file, in the folder "edit", there is a file callled Thumbs.db, which obviously doesn't belong there. DELETE IT from each skin and they will work!

yay! :D

#24193

Fixed now and uploaded again, sorry

Here

Remember you can wait for the new versions with great general design changes.

I'm busy now.

Can thumbs.db crash opera, since it isn't called from the skin.ini?

Now I see it can.

#24305

I tried the Safa 1.1 , and it always crashes my opera a few seconds after i changed the skin. Has anyone else got the same problem? Tried finding the thumbs.db but it's not there.

They are all great skins Fer! I'm waiting for your updates ;)

#24515

I tried 2 of the newest ones, sorry, I don't recall the names, and they crashed Opera on me also.

Bling,

Grusic

#24521

tried both of them, they both work well, i use them day to day and have not had a single problem. i think the problem exists bcak

#24548

No problem yet, i am using safa 1.1

#24550

English:

Great work Fer!!

Spanish:

La caña!! Muchas gracias Fer!!

#24561

Beautiful, I'm lovin it.

#24598

Safa crashes mine, hmmm

#24630

Damn nice job Fer. Thanks a bunch man. ^_^

#24631

excellent work Fer. im gonna have to get opera and try these out B)

#24669

Yes, indeed - I actually think i might get opera for this ;)

looks REALLY NEAT. great job!

#24697

I can't figure out how these skins will look with the ugly banner of the opera unregistered version.

Some of them may work but...

I should finish them due to all the compliments. Thank you

If I had begun with only one skin everything would be easier.

I dont know what is crashing opera in some of you. I test them in two different pcs and have no problems.

Thank you again

#24716

Every single one of the more recent skins crashes my Opera (version 7.10) -- I've tried for the best part of an hour to get one of them to work, but to no avail..

#24775

I tried all three skins and they now crash Opera :(

I tried to find thumbs.db in the zip file but it is not available. Please help !! I love these skins and would like to get them working again.

Thanks
