I don't think you HAVE to make a dll for smilies. You do however need a MSL file. To make MSL files I just take them from other smiley sets and edit them myself. You can edit them with notepad.

Well for the transparency, when you're in that List Background + part of the options, you'll stuff like "Away" "online" and all that in the white box. Select those and you'll see "xx % Alpha" and set that lower. You should be set from there on the Transparency thing.On the width, you might have to put all the borders and menu bars on it and stuff, restart Miranda, resize it to the width you would like, then turn all of that stuff off again. Sounds troublesome but I can't think of any simpler way to do it.

How does one make a different color for the group text, and the contacts? Like I wanna have black text for the group text and gray for the contacts themselves.
Example:

Actually an easier way to make it wider/thinner is to use margins..sorry I didn't notice it before it's alot quicker than what I said before.

EDIT: Wow it's been right there, just tripped over it when I accidentally scrolled up and down.
Go to Options -> Contact List -> List Text and under fonts you can pick the element you want to change the font of. Under that it'll say same and have four different checkboxes, make sure you uncheck color so you can change the colors.

oh and yeah.... sometimes I get a graphical glitch at the bottom of the top half of the message window.... what causes this and how can I fix it? It's like a 1 pixel high glitch that looks like it comes from whatever is in the background of the message window. And sometimes covers the entire length of the message window.
lol thats cause ur using the regular list background, are u sure u put in all the plugins in the right place?

Did you forget to tick 'clist_nicer.dll' in the 'Plugins' submenu?
1. Right-click the Miranda system tray ( or notification area ) icon
2. Choose: Main Menu > Options
-Go to the plugins section of the options dialog
-On the right side is a list of plugins that are sitting in your "Mirandaplugins" folder. Check what you want to use, uncheck what you don't want to use
3. Restart Miranda

@andres160: Maybe you have to install Microsoft .NET Frameworks. Or a single msvcr71.dll will work too, try to put it in windowssystem32..

I have to say that agon made a great job with his mod and his tutorial ,but if there is something that piss me off is this fake publicity.i havent complain about anything but if i release a mod i do it with everything that show on the screenshot,that way people dont ask about the icons that there isnt and that cant be released.thats the only thing i dont like,with this i dont want to offend anyone but this shouldnt be like this and i think there is many other people that think the same way as i do
