i've just came back from EB... with Half-Life 2 sitting next to me... should I open it? After thinking about my expenses for this month, this little game in the box is quite a frivolous spending, lol.
What to do what to do... Simon, sway me over by showing me some spectacular shots or things about the game. (btw, i am a Simon too, haha, the coincidence)
simon's right... its incredible - was playing it within 10 mins of its release, well worth the time.

Honestly, this game has it all. A wide and balanced range of weaponry, innovative enemies, very clever AI, a gripping storyline, spectacular graphics, the characters look incredible, the missions are varied and exciting, the puzzles are cunning (like a fox ), the vehicles are awesome and the landscapes, locations and setpieces are stunning.
I implore you, no; I command you to go buy this game. Already got it, eh nomis_nehc? I comman ye to playeth game!

The creepy, dark, old, abandoned, full-of-raving-zombies-and-headcraps, run-by-a-crazy-monk town of Ravenholm scared me ****less on occasions. 
i won`t play it at all cause i bet my Radeon Mobility 9000 w 64VRAM just won`t cut it :cry:

i have 2.4b ghz and geforce 6800 normal with 512 mb ddr333 of ram. will that cut it? what resolution and antialising and anisotrophic filtering do you have on that screenshot? looks like 800 resolution to me
I won't play it because I abhor violence of all kinds. Even old ladies beating muggers with their umbrellas is despicable.

PLAY IT. I'm giving up playing it to make these damn system files for the community. PLAY IT. If not for me, play it for the little kid in Bangladeshijupistan whose parents won't buy the game for him so he has to live vicariously through the internet forums to experience the game.

the game is f'in awesome guys, nothing like it before, everything is interactive, maybe too interactive.. anyway u dont need to have incredibly high specs to play this game, runs perfect on my 2500+ and 9500pro with 512mb ram, obviously it wouldnt hurt to run it on a 4.XXghz proc and 9800Xt 
Valve have done a fantastic job. Quality work.
heard there are some major bugs but i havent had the time to play it a lot, havent encountered any myself.
erm, guys! do i have to try it with my notebook? pentium m 1.5ghz / 512mb ram / 64mb geforce fx 5200? download or not? counter strike: source ran pretty okay with such configuration (nfs ungerground 2 & thug 2 did)...
