[Release] Classic Pinstripe for Firefox/Windows port
Awesome... been waiting for this! Congrats, perfect port.
One thing though, when I click on a subfolder in the bookmarks toolbar folder, it still has a sort of purple color... I'd really appreciate a more aqua'ish version.
Anyone know how to change the color of the bar at the top. The white color looks a bit missplaced. other then that, it's absolutly amazing! Great job!
i am also looking for this theme called metalxp, but can´t find it.for that, look for a theme called metalxp. it's the same as pinstripe but a grayish type background instead of white
does anybody know where one can get this?
thanks in advance!
This is a great FF theme but apparently in the final release the find bar looks like this...
thanks i love the theme.
one problem: i have 2 computers and i installed it on both. the problem is that one computer doesnt have compact menu available in the 'customize toolbar' menu. i tried reinstalling, both ff and the theme and no luck. any links to compact menu for 1.0? (i couldnt find one)

you'll find everything at http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showforum=2
MetalXP was my personal modified version of Pinstripe. It was hosted on my site, which is now offline...permanently. Anyway, it was pretty outdated, and I was finding it difficult to keep up with all the bugs (it worked fine for some people, terribly for others...). It works swell if you're using a nightly from 2 months ago.
Version 0.7 is already available. Please see the first post in this thread.
Wookietv, would you mind updating the mirrored version, please?
Wow; keeping on top of the updates too! Thanks!
i've updated the mirror
hm with this new update for Firefox 1.0, the font for my bookmarks/history sidebar is Times New Roman.... it wasn't like that before...

The font is alright with me (it looks like Tahoma or Verdana), but it's way too large now...
There are no font declarations for the sidebars. Firefox uses the font setting provided by your OS's appearance.hm with this new update for Firefox 1.0, the font for my bookmarks/history sidebar is Times New Roman.... it wasn't like that before...
Thank you so much for this skin! I love your work, and it's truly amazing! Keep it up!
I'd say "nice work", but what makes this different from the other Pinstripe ports that have been released over time? What, in this theme, is your own work?
Also, why do you not reference the fact that this is based on the original Pinstripe created by Kevin Gerich and Stephen Horlander?
Very very cool, thanks
anyone know if TBE works with it?

As kyods noted in his original post, this is a port of the Pinstripe created by Arronax (which is a compilation of the original-but-now-gone Pinstripe by Kevin et al).
This one is different at the very very least because it's FULLY COMPATIBLE with 1.0 and being actively updated. None of the other Pinstripe themes on A-S are working properly as released by the porter.
Great. Now where did I say it is my work I created myself? It is a port. Look above, can you see the "port" written in the title? Have you ever bothered to read the first post? Have you ever bothered to check the link I put there? No, of course you haven't.I'd say "nice work", but what makes this different from the other Pinstripe ports that have been released over time? Thanks a lot.
I am usin the skin now. Looks really good
, thanks much

Interesting... do you know what setting in particular that is? (I'm using Windowblinds ATM but the same shows up with the msstyles I've tested)
I've just figured it out. It's not the OS appearance, it's the default font in Firefox. If you have your Sans font set as Times New Roman, and Sans is your default Proportional font, you'll have the sidebars in Times New Roman. But no idea how to override this in the theme though.

That explains the font, but the font size is still simply too large, in the sidebar as well as in some dialog boxes (like the login query for password-protected content)... Would be great if you could fix this in some future version!
