What exactly do I need to do to change the control panel/system preferences to look like your screenshots? Icons and names are changed, but its the same layout as the standard control panel.
I've applied the theme in windowblinds, and have applied the finder theme in objectbar. What else do I need to do?
Also, I seem to be having the same problem as otohime. Does anyone know what is wrong?
Yes you still have to use windowsblinds. The screenshots you can see show how your desktop may look like after having installing the package but with windowblinds running on it.
Thus you can still use windowblinds afterwards, and even more you should use windowblinds.
The pack will transform your system files, this means that your previous windows files will be substituted by the mac files, but you can still adjust the skin by using windowsblinds (or visualstyles)
The pack will change your icons, your dialogs, the shape of the windows, the boot screen the log on screen and the explorer bars and many other things. In other words, almost everything in terms of design.

To change the control panel preferences, you need to go in your control panel folder.
Then you go in tools, folders options, and then you select the second option, "use windows classic folders"

I installed this pack earlier today on my laptop and I'm sorry to say, bumped into a big error. I tried it after a clean install (with format) of winxp and sp2, nothing else installed. Ran the installer, went smoothly, adjusted the registry values as said in the readme.txt, rebooted and got the following error:
STOP: C000021a {unrepairable system error}
The system process Windows Logon Process was terminated unexpectedly
with status: 0xc000018 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system is shutdown.
BSOD, after I disabled the 'reboot on system failure' as it would reboot forever.
Safe mode, restore point (as I can't get into windows anyway), ... don't work. I will have to reinstall windows and the SP2.
My XP is a dutch version, the laptop configuration is the Dell Inspiron 5150. I haven't tried it on my desktop machine as I really don't want that one to be reinstalled
The pack looks promising but still has some flaws in it.

installed fine. went to restart and upon reboot system crashed. also crashed in safe mode. had to use restore disks. pritty much lost everthing. i wish i could tell u why this happend but i have no idea. i didn't get an error screen.
im running windows xp home edition sp2.
p4 on a sony vaio. 1 gig of ram.
gforce fx 5600.
oh and i installed the sp1 version with no issues.
Well I tried this, but first made a restore point. I wasn't really to impressed with the Daimator beta installer. I don't like the way most of the files have been modified. Basically Flyakite summed it up in his own post my thoughts on this pack.

I think I will just be waiting for the FLYAKITE SP2 release, that seems to be a better thought out design of the modification of the sysfiles, at least I was very happy with SP1 v6.
But never the less, impressive work on the part of Danimator, just not for me. Still deserves some much appeericated credit.

Thanks for the info! Does that mean, I could start the beta installer, copy the files from the temp dir and then abort the installation? Or should I wait for the "final" installer? I'm asking because my XP is a german version. Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work!

Ok I got the mod installed and the only thing I'm running into is that some things are soo big that its offsetting the rest of the items like the Windowblinds skin chooser scroll bar so that its below the window edge.
Any tips?

I, for one, care about picture size.
I browse using small windows so that I can have lots of windows accessible at any one time.
That, my good man, is why there is a rule stating that any and all inline images must be no more than 500px wide and 375px high. If these images link to a larger image, then fine, but inline images either remain within those bounds, or get removed.
That i had noticed, the java scripting on my comp screwed up, i saw the pic as a link, i guess everyone else saw it as a pic. It's fixed now.
Anyways... as for the font and spacing problems, i found out that you need to have windowblinds installed and running FIRST. Then install the OSX patch, then from there it will work. For myself, the fonts are a little off, but the windows are updated and fixed into their prospective windows.
