I have a question though. As seen in the first screenshot, will the Show All, Displays, Sound, Network, Startup Disk, etc actually be USABLE or are they just pictures that can't be clicked?

I can't wait either. I upgraded a week ago to SP2 with a new fresh install and format.
I've been customizing everything just the way I like it and waiting to see some screenshots of this version. I've been using FLYAKITE v6 before hand, but he said he won't be able to do SP2 until sometime after Sept. 14th, so I will just wait to see who's I like best.
I thought I saw a screenshot of Danimator's changed Display properties, and I dunno if I liked it or not.
Calm down people Rome wasn't built in a day. Keep up the amazing work Danimator, I'm a huge fan. :juggle:

Hey folks. Just a quick update for ya.....
I've been unbelievably busy with work here, as ya may or may not know, I work as a professional freelance animator/designer...done Disney..Mtv..Dreamworks, Nelvana, etc etc. And my latest job has me having to learn Flash MX. Which I'm totally new at so its keeping me really busy learning for work, etc...So....the installer pack is done, but I haven't had time to send it out to alot of the testers.
So what I'll do, if ya wanna help witht the last of the testing, add me to your msn Danimator@Hotmail.com and I'll do my best to get this thing out for ya's. (Don't message me if only for a copy, as I will need you giving me feedback for installer, for example if any bugs on your system, etc so you will need to help out a bit And please, only FAST connections, preferably cable.
Also, when I do release this, I'll include screenies comparing REAL Mac with my mods, so ya can see the accuracy between the 2. Which if I do say so myself, it's really accurate hehe
So message away, and I'll authorize whoever gets ahold of me when I wake up in the morning.
Oh, and lastly, when I do release this, I'll need hosts, so if you can host a mirror for it, please lemme know. Thanx

K. during the install of the system files, you'll get MANY popup windows for windows file protection...for each one, press "cancel" then "yes" for all of them. This can't be avioded yet as the version of replacer I use for replacing the files, doesn't auto close those popups in SP2.
Also, during install of system files or w.b. skins, ya might get an error popup about the fonts..just click ignore, known issue i'm still fixing, still works.
After install of everything..goto startmenu...run...type "regedit" and search for "ms shell dlg" youll see 2 entries there ms shell dlg and ms shell dlg2...make sure they are both set to "LucidaMAC"...if they didnt change lemme know...but ya MUST change both to LucidaMAC if they didnt change. Then reboot

Who gave you premission to release this? Is this from Danimator himself?
Yes, he sent me the files so I could host them for him. I had to update the font settings using RegEdit myself, and the only other part that didn't install was the bootscreen. Those are the only two issues I found and it sure does look nice!!
I was wondering does this pack include icons for various filetypes as well or do I have to use iconpackager to change them?

Other issues are, I can't open Internet Explorer, the image preview wont open, Outlook express crashes, the buttons in Display Properties - in the desktop tab - are run off the window. My luna theme is crunched down and is missing half the start button, I can't move any of the icons on my desktop... but other than that, good job Danimator! Still got a lotta' work to go man

Edit: in the display properties window, under Desktop, it likes to crash when I select any wallpaper other than Bliss. Explorer crashs everytime I set it to preview a picture, it also crashes when I try to empty the trash :naughty: The ENTIRE mouse control panel is huge and run off the window, and I don't think the cursors installed. The services control panel inside Administrative Tools crashes, as does Micosoft .Net Framework 1.1 Configuration. The Windows Firewall claims to be off and says I have to turn it on inside Services, which crashes. I can't open help and support form the start menu. The search option from the start menu wont work, and when I open it inside explorer's Veiw menu, it show a little dog on the bottom of the window with no text. I can't drap and drop, or paste anything from one window to another...
You should create restore points before replacing all your system files... try using System Restore before you go ahead and re-install the entire OS.

yes. you can, but it's not incorporated in the installer yet..
when ya run the installer , it extracts all the files to a temp directory located at....
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username\Local Settings\Tempdir\

From the screenshots, I can safely say that I love you.
I haven't gotten around to installing it, and I am pretty (very very) new at mac emulation. So far all I've really done is install ObjectBar, Dock, Trillian (your skin thanks!) , windowblinds, and a few other apps.
I have a few questions: :canadian:
Will this modification render windowblinds useless? Or do I still have to use windowblinds to have that look?
What exactly will this pack do?
