Thanks for the quick replay Flyakite. I appriciate that.
If you used batchmod the dialogs and context menus will not change. There is no way around this unless you install them normally, but then you may have system problems and all the text will be in English.
In your v. 5.1 I did the full install (english on top of dutch version).
Only troubles were the obvious mixture of native dutch & english interface and the trouble with network settings (details on settings not showing), which I've read with others too.
I started to use batchmod for the need to use windows-update and still wanting to have the Aqua look. Besides, off course a non-mixture interface as far as language is concerned is a positive side effect.
How comes it is not possible to change the layout with a costom install?
Be it with batchmod or another tool? If I choose extract only with your installer, a whole lot gets extracted, including screensaver, cursors & wallpapers, not only the .dll/.exe/.cpl's. What's the problem with also allowing to extract the (registry?) hacks that allow the layout/sizes to change?
I know there are alot of users who do not use an english version of winXP and I'm sure that they would want the complete mod.
Would you please reconsider to include this as an option in a future upgrade (v. 6.1 ?), besides looking into the problem with comctl32.dll that the other members describre?
For now, I've got myself a NortonGhost-copy of the pre-modding state,
so I'm just gonna be bold and get myself a full install. Hope it works out ok...
