[release] Iconstructor V.2

Hi everyone!

As I promised yesterday, here's the release of my iConstructor v.2.

For those who doesn't know: iConstructor is a program to make high-res icons from 2 images (source and overlay). This way you can easily make your own icons for specific folders or filetypes.

New features:

• Precise rotating and skewing effects for overlay
  
• Transparency effect for overlay
  
• Anti-aliased multiline text rendering with any of installed in your system TrueType fonts
  
• Alignment, bold, italic or underlined styles and alpha-blending for text
  
• New skinned Mac'ish interface
  

And, of course, all the good old basic features, those make the essense of this app.

After this all how can you refrain from downloading it?

P.S. Now I need a good set of "elements", like all those sheets, folders, disks, Xs, 9s, pens etc to construct icons from. There will be a few improvements to iC2. When they'll be done, I will make 'full' distribution with the set of elements for customizers' convenience. Could anyone help me?

Rimmer.......................bro you do not even have a clue as to how much I LOVE this application. I could (and just may if you're not careful) pontificate for days and days about this incredible program. Without a doubt one of the best kept secrets of this entire messageboard based on the number of replies at least. Anyone who doesn't have this is seriously missing out!!!

Pin-up icon from the preview is official icon (well, a project of icon to tell the truth) of my new app, which is not even announced here. And I'm not going anymore to give away my raw works. xPinUp icon will be published as soon as I manage myself to make an announcement at least.

Guys, maybe it's not so obvious (and it's not said anywhere), but iC2 can change its skin. Tho it doesn't have preferences yet. Changing is done by simple copying all those 2 files of another skin into ./skin/Default/ folder. Please, don't forget to backup the current contents of that folder (default skin in distribution is Brushed)

And here's Windows/Photoshop skin for you to play (and for those who hates Aqua). YES, it's such a small thing

I used it to create an icon for something I'm releasing soon (and I credited your program!), but I'm not going to talk about that in this thread...

This is an extremely useful program.

That icon I made was for a plugin that lets you search Aqua-Soft from the Firefox search bar- so now a lot of people (I hope) have downloaded that plugin, and see the icon made with iConstructor!! (I credited iConstructor in my Notes)

Glad to hear from you, Nate Dogg!

Well, new version of iConstructor is definetely to be created (the question is when I will manage myself to make it). I'm planning to add the requested drag-n-drop features, rework the ICO saving algorithm (for now it makes semitransparent parts darker), add some formats to import icons from. This will be done for iC.v.2. Maybe, if I'll have an idea of better controls' layout for icon design area, I'll make the THIRD version.
