[preview] Ical For Windows (take 2)

Hey everyone, a few people have already known about this, but I thought I would finally make it public. I am working on iCal for Windows again. This time in C#, this time I know what im doing, and know how to program MUCH better. I completely started from scratch. Everything is NEARLY 1:1 with Panther's iCal. Have a look for yourself: Everything is rendered. All text, everything. It all works too. It runs like it would on a Mac, except it doesnt draw appointments... YET.... im working on that today. I know how to do it, just takes some code. Well enjoy these little teasers!

I will release it, but it probably wont be for a while because I want to get it very far along before I release.

Have a great day,

This is just plain evil.....

tormenting us like this will only result in pages and pages of "I'm not asking at all, or pestering....but REALEASE THE DAMN PROGRAM ALREADY"

btw the screenshots are quite staggeringly good.

what do you mean by this?

Everything is perfectly drawn at this point (minus the side words from the Week and Day views), and it all works. If the month changed to July, july would show up. If the day changed this instant, the next day would be drawn next time you change the view (I cant make it redraw instantly because its not really feasable) Me and alilm are workin on making it save as iCal format. Its gonna be nice!

Did I mention that its superfast?

I mean that it would be cool if your iCal could export calendars to ics format and put them to iPod. Example of ics file from my iPod (created with ****ty EphPod app) attached.

edit: oh, and thanks in advance ^_^

I will try my best for that Pe7er, but I will have to find some kind of source that tells me how to write to the iPod.

Thanks :) Maybe something like this:

1. You set in Preferences your iPod's Calendars folder (iPod shows in windows as a removable drive, so it would be something like P:\Calendars

2. Button 'export to iPod' simply copies appropriate file to iPod.

I think it should work :/

#174882

-1 for iPod cos I dont have one :P

#174883

I've just edited .ics file in Notepad, copied it back to iPod and it works, shows the change I made properly...

@DoubleD: go get yourself one ;)

#174884

it's looking pretty damn nice, keep it up man :)

Thanks for the info Pe7er. I will definately add that in there. Im thinking for my menus and stuff I will make Alt-P be preferences or if you right click on the surface it will show a context menu for the menus. I dont want a real menu for this. just a bit of info.
