?? what are those genres? i've never heard of metal referred to as medieval or symphonic... do you have some examples of the bands?
Lucca Turilli, Rhapsody (medieval and symphonic metal is pretty close and sometimes overlapps)

Throw Radiohead, DNTEL, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Velvet Teen, Mates of State, and The Strokes in there and you have a list of my favorite artists.
Actually, thanks for reminding me. I quite like the Strokes, too ![]()

Well for the most part there is no such thing as medieval metal. I mean ya Rhapsoy can be considered that because they always sing about dragons and stuff then again you could classify Dio medieval metal too but when I hear them i think heavy metal. Medieval metal would probably categorize into Power Metal. But when i hear symphonic metal I usually think Black Symphonic Metal. Big examples being Nightwish, Opeth, and Tiamat.
You Metal-Heads are funny.
I like metal too, though, so I can't really laugh at you. I'll laugh near you instead.
Well, lucca and Rhapsody, can be categorized as medieval metal becasue, most of the melodies that hide in the background or make up the storyline are in fact classical medieval pieces of music;) its not recognized as a genre by a lot of people, but trust me, its medieval metal
this is why is say they tend to overlapp, yo might just say, yeah, well, its symphonic, regardless of what symphony they are playing...
Less coffee, more looking at the keyboard, Seph.
Or I could just come over and make some boon
to you.
You got me all interested in this medieval stuff.

omg your list just screams MTV nu-metal lol
I don't give a damn what is played on mtv, here in europe those bands (exept for incubus) get rarely played on mtv, i also don't look mtv very often because i don't like 90% of the musid that is played there.
i wouldn't call any of those bands nu-metal, nu-metal is sadly known for such cr** like limplbizkit and linkin park, but i don't like that categorising anyway.
and you or anyone else here doesn't have to like the music that i like ![]()

these days... infact i cant stand most modern music, although i have heard a few underground tracks that take my fancy.
im looking forward to slipknot's new ablum, ive heard a few good things about it ::fingers crossed:: .
i wont bother listing my fav's - as "MetalMusicAddict" said, there's just way too many.
