That's pretty much the last thing thats really needed to finish up the firebird to safari tutorial that's in these boards! They're pretty damn close, a couple of fixups and they could be exact.

Well since you're looking to emulate Safari, you'll need to throw out the back/forward, etc, buttons 
It's looking pretty good.

Oh, man, that was an arduous task. Let me not to explain. All you ned is tabbox.css, browser.css and a couple of modded pngs.
They're pretty damn close, a couple of fixups and they could be exact.
Unfortunately I'm not such skilled one. This is my first experience. But i'm workin' on it.
Shall I send my jar file to such gurus as StivieBM and Anarchi5t to let them dig it?

That's the easiest part. The source theme from lynchknot has it all. I can put them back. BTW can someone share original OSX Mail.app icons so I can put them in the Thunderbird theme?

me likes the tabs and the bookmarks. you've got to teach us how to do it.
Looks nice, though I'd probably get rid of the go button and the safari compass beside the search bar.

how do you change the image for the compact menu extension?
Its in the compact.jar file in your profile directory.
compact.jar\skin\classic\compact
Replace the sharc-2-8.50.png with whatever you want to use.

I've tried hard on my Safary to get the tabs 1px correct and got pretty close:
But its still not perfect and therefore took a lot of time. I think there is no chance to get it 100% in Firebird.

How did you change the Firebird tabs to 1pixel?

ie. profile file changes, and maybe the image files you used.
