No, Apple 'stole' it from XPARC. If you want to say Apple refined it, that's defensible, but Apple didn't invent a 'Window System' any more than Microsoft did.

XPARC, I didn't remember that.
But the point is that Microsoft didn't base their system upon XPARC. They saw Apple's OS and copied from THEIR design. That was my point, actually.

MacOS didn't have tiling before Panther AFAIK, at least I can't find it whenever I use classic MacOS everyday (in school).
But that's not to say that this feature (expose) wasn't copied from panther which it was.
