Winexpose Appears To Have Had A Name Change

I wonder why? Could Apple have been flexing their corporate muscles?

There was also a brief time yesterday after the name change when their FAQ on their website actually described their product "like Expose for Apple's Mac OS X" but this has also disappeared since. You can see where it was though:

WinPLOSION provides a fast method of getting to the window you want when you have several applications running.

It provides a fast method of getting to the window you want when you have several applications running.

The first paragraph was the "it's like Expose for Mac" bit. He obviously hasn't re-read the edited text!

(As an aside, I actually bought it and am quite pleased with it, especially with iEx not working on Win2K).

I do not like if someone try to make money with a stolen program. iex is free it is ok.

Does anyone know a link where I can download it for free???

#103228

I would love to use iEx. Have seen it running on an XP machine, and have also seen Siwu's DirectDraw animation demos for the forthcoming 0.3 which, all being well, looks as if it's going to be as smooth as the real thing. But as my main office PC is 2000 and is unlikely to be changing any time soon, iEx isn't an option. So it's WinPlosion for me, even if the new name brings images of my PC explosing to mind...

Uh, they're not stealing money from anyone. Apple did not create this window management and it's been around for years on other platforms. And warez are bad, futher asking will probubly get Stevie to beat your ass down with metal poles.

Moved to Aqua Discussion. WinExpose is an aqua-cloning app, no matter what they say.

Not another "its stealing" debate though. I dont want to bring goku out of lurking again.

#103406

it`s fun to see mods moving a discussion from one forum to another conflicting with each other :D :D

I'm sorry, but this is indeed a copy of Apple's Expose. About the Window System, it actually WAS invented by Apple. Microsoft calls itself the creator of this "Window" system, but the truth is that Bill Gates stole the idea straight from Apple. There was a really terrible legal battle between the two companies back in the day...

Don't use "gay" as a derogatory term.

1. +3 respekt for homestar! (Y)

2. [edit]that one might get me in trouble[/edit]

2. why not?

Two reasons not to -

1) You'll get banned

2) Because being gay is not a bad thing, and therefore, using it as an insult is, in itself, an insult to the gay community.

I'll have no more argument about this.

#103536

@ Keith - we agreed that gay used as a derogatory term is same as a rasist comment and it`s not welcome @ AS. It`s not OK to separate pple for their colour, race, political and/or sexual preferences so all talk about those things is prohibited.

Thanks for understanding ;)

#103538

1. Acceptance

2. Understanding

3. Respect. ^_^

Ok ok don't hurt me! :banging: ;)

I didn't know such an everyday word that is always used to describe something either: stupid (in this case winexpose), or homo, is offensive

I'm sorry

#103587

sorry for sounding harsh Keith, but my friend`s life was ruined JUST cause someone told his parents he`s gay. It ruined his life and ever since i get jumpie when someone starts using word gay in any negative context. -_-

I, however, dont wanna see discussions about winexpose :o

#103603

it is so inchoerent (i don`r care about this discution but...) this is what i see here... IF you really think it is not BAD "being gay" why the hell do you say "IT" is offensive ???? when somebody write down that word ot just says it. It is danm stupid and a big lie ....

If somebody calls me "HANDSOM" for example or "Clever" those words i think they are not "BAD" to be. i won`t think it is offensive..... well this is THE WORLD ..... a big paradox..... this is peple .....

BtW..... i do not care about it so i do not care about this topic coz everybody is free and can do whatever they want and be happy. (be or not to be gay).

but it is just my point of view about the "usual paradox" when somebody speak about some things.... :S
