Smooth Stripes (black)

Would anyone be interested in a Black version of Smooth Stripes? I ask because I am part way through doing one (I've done the coloured Gloss version but only the title bar as i need to import alphaised BMP's or PNG's and I've only just got ResBuilder).

If so could someone tell me how I could get in contact with the original author of the smoothstripes skin so I can get permission.

I also thinking about doing a black version of milk but I think it will end up looking a lot like Shinobi or TuXeDo.

NOTE: If you couldn't tell I like black themes.

I'll post a preview of the skin tomorrow, I'll work on it a bit tonight.

Yeah, black themes are quite cool. There are so many light themes and very few black ones so far.

A few days ago I tried to see how Aqua-Soft black theme would look like. Check out the attached pic. Some details are taken from the marvelous GarageBand.

Sorry, I forgot to bring in the screenshot that i took last night. I've completed all of the standard 24 bit bitmap conversions, I have to now spend ages editing the .ini files so that the titlebar text is white.

I've also created a dock background for the skin and I have edited the logoff and shutdown menu's to a black OSX like look.

Felar: That skin your using looks like a cross beween Panther and Plex(Aero), It looks real sweet, you should try and make it a proper windowblinds or vs skin.

Note: When I've finished this I may need someone to convert it to Windowblinds as every version of skinstudio i have ever had lasted 3 days and then required me to update it :rant:

That would be cool! I would like to option to have the regular colored buttons and min/close/max buttons as well as white ones maybe with orange like in GuiPod.

What do you mean by the orange buttons, Do you mean like an inverted colour?

I looked for GUiPod but couln't find any pictures with orange buttons, they are all white/cream.

Post a screenshot of the sort of colour schemes you mean. I can work better from screenshots than descriptions.

when you mouse over the guipod min/max/close, the '-', '+', and 'x' are orange instead of the traditional black a la milk, jaguar, panther, etc. there are other similar orange mouseovers, too in guipod. subtle touches, but oh so nice.

anyway dark smoothstripes looks AWESOME.
