[preview]ade Shell Replacement For Windows

Some news...

I finished apple menu...

I have used a pic from apple.com so it's 1:1 perfect :) it support objectdock (as crni skin do), i'd like to support more dock... if anyone send me the parameter to hide/move/show preference of Y'z dock ad Mobydock, i'll support it too...

ADE (this is the codename) support skin, all resolution, and custom program (to shutdown for example u can use windows default or iShut).

I'm building a sys panel for my app, and if it find Iex add a exposè pref panel to easy set up iex within editing ini file.

Finder menu change with system menu of application (as aqua finder menu do) not only the header but even the contnent such as other menu (with app menus)

The next step will be arrange winxp try icon with personalized try icon and put a clock in the bar.

Then i'd like to integrate program written by other programmers (for example "about" of other syspref and other finder) to recreate a complete aqua enviroment in windows.

The last step will be add shadow and other aqua effect (open windows, blending and others...)

And finally... the screen shot...

ade.gif

Dock is ObjectDock and i controll it via dock menu

The clock is ClockX and i love it :D

I have to make the manifest to use visual style controls in the app... so don't worry about the ugly button :D

I'm using OBfont and before the release i'd like to know who have to ask 4 permission (crni?)

I hope u like it :)

See u soon with other news and screen :)

PS. Sorry for my bad english!!!!!

Very nice.. A complete replacement? I'll look forward to seeing your full potential! :D

#91653

I'd be cautious. Using docks such as moby's and yz, Apple's lawyers would have a field day.

#91654

thanks crni 4 permission :)

4 multilanguage i can use a resource file... base language is english however.

@Alim... i'd not use y'z dock o moby... i'll put the option to support it (in dock menu)

#91656

i don't see a screenshot :( can you help me out?

Open your eyes, turn on your monitor, refresh the page... ;)

Good start there! Me likes that the OBfont is used and that it will be sooo complete. I hope you'll be able to finish it. :D

#91718

@Pixelmatrix...

It's completly skinable and if u want, u can translate all just change an ini file.

@IngeneerMind

U can configure quite all...

In this moment u can change:

ATM (u can use ADE atm, winxp info, extern program)

shutdown (u can use win xp o iShut)

dock (ObjectDock natively supported, other dock will be supported if someone will write me the parameter to move the dock and open the dock preference)

system preference... (i'm doing some panel... maybe it could be integrated in some other sysprefernce app)

1 req: anyone know what is the "Location" sub-menu in Apple menu?

#91816

a little update...

Add Recent items menu :)

Anyone know what Location Menu contain?

#91963

Awesome! This is exactly what I've been waiting for. One question though: is this going to be able remove menu bars from individual windows and place them on the top menu bar like [the one redeeming feature of] ObjectBar?

#92287

I'm working to replace standard menu with app menu (not so difficult) and i'm searching the right api to hide menu from window.

News:

Full support for all resolution and skin.

In pref panel u can choose skin from a menu and the extention to support gif, bmp, png and all the extention u want :)

The pref panel is similar to original finder preference menu... soon the screenshot :)

I'm working to multilanguage support too :)

#92288

Come! Come! It's a great hope for all Objectbar haters!

#92289

Sounds like great news to me!

I'm a little bored using OB through and through. It's good to have a change once in a while.

Thanks redvex81rg! ;)

I'm working on pref panel:

General Option

-opener windows effect

-shadow

-hide taskbar

-load at sturtup

App Preference

-Used Dock

-Used ATM

-Used Shutdown

-Used SystemPreference (U can choose win control panel or custumized control panel)

-Get MacOsX Software (I'm working on an automatic update for aqua releted app software service)

Skin

-Here u can choose and preview skin, the program find the installed skin and put it in a combo box, even if i'm still working on it to look like mac style :)

For the theemers... u can choose all the extention u want, u have only attach an ini file with some information (when i'll release the app i'll write a little specification guide for skinners too)

The App use about 6MB of ram, but i'm reducing the cpu use by some code optimization, i think that final app will consume about 3/4MB of ur ram, but it's really fast on my celeron 700 :) menu are very responsive and i'm happy

:woot:

I'll put new screen shot soon (i'm building a webpage with news and screen :))

#92430

I'm working to multilanguage support too :)

for the love of god please enable east-asian language support.

p.s. looks great so far!!

#92446

i dont mind testing ;)

#92490

any mobydock user here?

I'd need to know if there is some command line option to move, hide, turn magnification on and off, show preference

Same 4 YzDock. If not, i'll have to cange dock ini file and restart the dock from my app... this is possible, but a bit slow :(

#92507

hey awesome tihng going on here!

i do not believe mobydock has implemented any command line options

so mobydock will have to sit out for now, but i may be able to ask moby to add in thiese features as a little update!!

Even if this program is 1/2048 of what I am expecting, this program will revolutionise the llama market. And theming Windows.

#92514

Good news... i found a jaguar guide in pdf with great illustration and explain of everything... i know... it's not panther... but i'm searching for difference... above all it's a great start point for develope my application :)
