Ooo...cool browser, what does it use? (IE >.< , Gecko, Mozilla...)

#89410

looking very slick my friend :D

Yeah, It would be nice to at least be able to TRY OUT that whole Media Center Experience without coughing up the buko bucks for the stupid "Required Hardware" that's supposed to go with it. Dell has some new Media Center type application that they are including with some of their computers, but you can find so much better deals elseware, I just dont like how they cut corners on some of there stuff but the price remains more then if I assemble the thing myself.

Note: Dells are good comps, Im simply saying I can find more for the same money... oh and btw, this was written on a Dell lol :P

[offtopic]I wish I could do that cool effect in your avatar and stuff, you can see I made a futile attempt [/offtopic]

It is currently based on IE, but we will try to migrate it to Mozilla or a more "secure" browser.

this is something the ghetto folk would call "tight"

#123762

anyone remember the link to turn XP into MCE?

I have a hauppage card and all the hardware it requires, so I'd like to see if it would work.

and yes, i googled and searched

#123763

When I was lookin into MCE I thought I remember seeing alot of recources @ hardwareGeeks. If you lookin for a Media Center front-end I would give a look @ myHTPC. You can do ALOT more with it. It has a great community around it also. PM/IM me if you want more HTPC info. :D

Well...

ePortal has changed coding languages 3 times. From VB6 to VB.net to C#.net. Andrew is now coding the skinning engine for ePortal called anio :). Anio is a package of controls for Winform (.net) Applications. Providing your application with fast graphics and better Ram usage.

ePortal has also gone through several redesigns. We now have picked a default skin (for ePortal) called PortalWhite designed by me :) (you can look at it here.

*there may be typos in some of the screenshots :P I'll fix that soon*

WebPortal will problably not be in ePortal because it would be hard to use a browser (like safari) on a television. WebPortal later may become a seperate application.

Currently there are no builds that we are ready to share with you guys, but there may be some in the next few months.
