Hard to imagine that it was the creators intent to make the game like that based on Doom I and II.
I just thought it was a non-scary game.

There was a demo available at E3. It looks great.
So yes, it is for xbox.
Anyway xbox... only a good mouse and a good keyboard to godly control a first person shooter gamepad suck !
True, but my PC can't handle doom 3, so I opted for a $200 xbox instead of $500 worth of upgrades, just to play one game.
Plus, I love Star Wars: KOTOR. Im the swoop race champion. 
DOOM III
The game is absolutely amazingly outsandingly GREAT!
Believe me. I have all trailers (available at fileplanet) AND I have the alpha demo. It runs sloooow and contains only 3 short levels but it's enough for me to say that this game is the best and most thrilling thing since Quake 1. I remember when I was playing Quake 1 for the first time, I didn't have sound card yet but I was so freaking scared that I couldn't sleep. In Doom 3 it's like 1000000 times more scary. Monsters are so fukking horrible and aggresive....check out the trailer or get the demo, you won't regret.
Ps. One of my first releases here was a set of Doom 3 icons, which was generally ignored :cry:

I have been since august, it was when I....errr...obtained the demo.
I played the 3 short level demo before, it runs very very slow on my PC (P4 2.0Ghz + 512Mb ram + GeForce 4 MX). I wonder what's the system requirement when the game release next year. Too bad it couldn't make it before X'mas, it's gonna be a hit.

I haven't been into shooters since the second DOOM, but I'll sure buy that game...

Sweet lord, are you serious? My comp's already maxed to that. /Dammit/
The demo works so slow because it's just alpha. Code is unoptimized. Carmack assures that the final product will run on Duron 900 and something like GF2MX.

It's the same around most of the world. Most countries employ a certificate system for games to make sure that nine year olds don't buy explicit games and end up jibbering about flying skulls and zombies.
Can't wait to see this game released.. 
Oh, please. Doom 3 doesn't look as good as a PC Game could look. Half-Life 2 looks better.
In any case, I don't like FPS games. Only HALO on Xbox, but that's because the Multiplayer of it simply rocks.
And PC Gaming is far inferior than Console Gaming, but I'm not trying to start another Console/PC War/Flame, so disregard my comments. Just venting. ^^;
