Aqua-Soft Forumsi would love to help, but i dont have any incredible programming skills. I do know some c++, and i have a good understanding of programming. i will do anything i can to help the project.
Why Not Combine All The Apps/plug-ins?

I was thinking the EXACT same thing....
instead there should be a whole shell replacement/companion with all the apps, skins and themes working together. wed just take the best of the best of each category of apps, skins n such. and create a new shell, i dont have much programming skills but plenty of design skills. thats the only way i'd see it working, otherwise id would just be another installer.
I know this would take a tremendous amount of programming and in which im not to good in, but im here to help with anything else, such as ideas, debugging, test running, designing, and any otherwise labor work lol
I'd enjoy seeing a group application that incorperates the most common apps or an 'group' installer. The problem, as stated, is that many programmers don't want their applications to be open source because of many reasons and even slapping them about won't change their minds.
Plus it is their choice to make.
Like i said, some project will spawn up and die the next day, happens all the time. No one "really" is commited on these boards anymore.
Lots are really commited, but like me, limited comp skills, so commited to aquafication via willing developers and such. I suppose the member count to developer ratio here has gone off the chart in the past 6 months, but did there use to be so many more active developers? You know I'm still new, so it's a fair question.

Not trying to be discouraging or anything, I personally think it's a good idea, but has anyone thought of the legal implications of what we are proposing.
The fact that Apple turns a blind eye to 'Aqua Emulation' may be a result of us NOT having a cohesive effort to integrate all the different apps that make OSX what it is.
Also, the words 'Replacement Shell for XP' is begging for a cease and desist order. The moment we start building a shell-replacement, can we seriously expect Apple to keep its current stance?
Like I said, don't get me wrong, on a personal note I think its a brilliant idea and although I can't contribute on a programming side (well no more than various vbscript tidbits) I'd use it until I personally received an email from Apple. But I'd hate to see the disbanding of the present community, as it is, simply because we got too ambitious.
