Msie Safari

Bottomline:

If you want the real Aqua, get a Mac. It's a whole package. And don't say, you want IE to look exactly like Safari cos it won't. Apple OWNS Safari and it'll only work on Macs.

My reason for "hating" Apple is this bully tactic of sueing everything out of existence that even remotley looks like Aqua and now sueing the makers of the Apps that create theme etc.

Hell, I would if someone copied my work. Would you be happy if someone took your painting and sold it, even they credited you? It's theirs, they can sue whoever they want cos it's their work. Simply as that.

I mean a bit of artistic freedom isnt harmful to them...

Yes, it is. If you could achieve Aqua with XP, people will lose another reason tp get a more expensive Mac. Say if you could install Panther on PC, Apple won't be able to sell any of their hardware. Plus it's not "a bit" of artistic freedom, Aqua is their GUI, it's the whole thing, glossy icons, pinstripe and brushed metal. It's what makes Apple, Apple.

But if you want XP to look Aqua, you're here, aren't you?

I know Apple owns Safari and it dosnt work for WinXP that why I said I wants MSIE to LOOK! like Safari which if you look at the skin for Firebird its pretty much the same!

They cant sue whoever they want they cant sue an app saying it can create a Aqua look a like I mean any paint util can copy Aqua but they aint intended for that but they dont sue them they only sue all the creators because who can take on Apple? (and they know that!)

Once again with the expensive Mac, Will everyone forget this myth that if you chose PC you cant afford a Mac Macs are not more expensive my PC is much more expensive than a Mac and is more customisable!

Hmmmm.....if you're having trouble installing themes, you may have a broken/old profile. This is known to cause weird issues in Mozilla. I suggest a FULL CLEAN reinstall.

To Do this....

1. Go to the Run... under your XP startmenu.

2. Type %Appdata% in the Run... Command Box

3. Delete any Folders entitled Mozilla or Firebird or Pheonix you find there. WARNING this will rub out any setting/bookmarks/extensions you might have saved with your installation of Mozilla!!

4. Delete Your Mozilla/Firebird folder under C:/Program Files or wherever you installed it.

5. Reinstall Firebird (version 0.7)

6. GO to the themes sites (e.g. Lynchknot's) and install - should work!!

Good Luck!!

Hey!

Look at all the various discussions of an epemhemeral nature which take place across cyberspace in forums of every minute!!

Such is the nature of the 'Net people!

Anyway, before I get policed...... :staffs here:

......Has anyone else noticed the general touchy nature of most forums (fora?!) these days?

You know I'm just begging for a censure, but I say :6 to authority!!!!!

Thanks Sultanoswing, I tried what you suggested but it still didnt work it seems there is a major problem with version 0.7 and earlier themes.

If you go to the main theme site of Mozilla they are all marked not compatible with v0.7 so I download the previous release and it works now thanks for your help guys.

I apologies for my temper in this thread I aint usually like this and I'm sorry it just seemed there were certain people out to 'bust my balls' but whatever Im sorry
